Female WWE Superstar We All Thought Would Join ‘The Wyatt Sicks’ Might Be Planning Her Own Faction
Image
The iconic ‘Live in Fear’ and the slow yet charming entrance of Bray Wyatt dominated the WWE universe for a while. At one point, the determined faction of Wyatt and his followers was hard to compete against. However, the WWE universe kept wondering what was next for the ferocious group after the unfortunate passing away of their leader.

In the ever-unpredictable world of professional wrestling, just when fans think they’ve figured it out, the story takes a sharp turn. Triple H Didn’t Forget Bray Wyatt as The Wyatt Sicks Return on Late WWE Star’s 38th Birthday
Image
When Bray Wyatt, along with his Wyatt Family, made their debut on Monday Night Raw in 2013, the WWE Universe was on their feet, lighting their mobile screens resembling the fireflies. Though each member had their ups and downs, the leader of the family flawlessly played his persona.

Over time, he had a firm grasp of his character, making him an infectiously popular mysterious character that rivaled the same charm of WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker. Sadly, disaster struck in 2023, when the world learned how the Leader of the Fireflies was not between them anymore.

His memories were preserved with Uncle Howdy; his brother leads a new pack under the name The Wyatt Sicks. While the faction made occasional appearances, they decided to appear in tonight’s SmackDown, making it noteworthy because today marked the 38th birthday of the deceased wrestler.

The Wyatt Sicks return to lay waste and pay...

Alexa Bliss Missed WrestleMania 41 But Her WWE Return Looks Inevitable With the Best Upgrade of Her Career
Image
Alright, WWE maniacs, let’s break down WrestleMania 41 once more. There was a lot of craziness in Vegas, but I gotta be honest, without Alexa Bliss and without the creepy Wyatt Sicks, it was all a little underwhelming. I absolutely lost it when Alexa Bliss returned at the Royal Rumble 2025.

The chills just flashed through my body when I heard her entrance music. And then before you know it, she was gone after a couple of matches. I was bummed, but now rumor has it, Alexa Bliss could be leading the Wyatt Sicks! In the WWE: Unreal trailer, there were a lot of little tidbits that have anticipations boiling over.

The Wyatt Sicks are beyond creepy, and we are so ready for them.

Have you ever watched a WWE promo that gave you goosebumps? That’s what the Wyatt Sicks are for me. This faction, Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy,...

‘WWE Raw’ Review (Dec 23rd 2024)
Image
Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. We all hope you had a great Christmas and with that being said, let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Women’s Intercontinental Title Tournament Triple Threat – Iyo Sky def. Natalya and Alba Fyre The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After she and Alba Frye escaped Natalya’s double Sharpshooter, Iyo Sky took to the air to take out her opponents at ringside. In a battle on the turnbuckle moments later, The Queen of Harts sent Fyre to the canvas with a German suplex. In doing so, though, she opened herself up to an Over the Moonsault by The Genius of the Sky that gave Sky the first-round victory and allowed her to advance in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Chad Gable def.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: The Final Testament & The Miz def. The Wyatt Sicks The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The Miz and The Final Testament had their work cut out for them as they collided with The Wyatt Sicks in an Eight-Man Tag Team Match. Scarlett got involved but was thwarted by Nikki Cross, who took out the valet with a Lou Thesz press. Uncle Howdy hit the Sister Abigail on Karrion Kross, but Miz was able to save the day. Just as Howdy was about to take out The Miz, Paul Ellering made his return, throwing powder into the eyes of Howdy. Kross then struck with the Final Prayer to win the match.

Damian Priest
4 Winners & 2 Losers From Last Night's Monday Night Raw
Damian Priest
It's Survivor Series week, as WWE rolled into the Desert Diamond Arena for Monday Night Raw. Gunther was again left broken at the hands of Damian Priest. The two opened the show with Priest eviscerating the World Heavyweight Champion, before putting him through a table ahead of their match this Saturday. A Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship match was added to Survivor Series, as Sheamus, Ludwig Kaiser, and Bron Breakker brawled all the way to the top of the entrance. The Judgment Day retained their tag team titles by the skin of their teeth from the vibrant and reenergized War Raiders.

Meanwhile, a new, much-requested championship was unveiled, and there will be a tournament to crown the first Women's Intercontinental Champion. The New Day stole the night with a passionate and personal argument ahead of next Monday's 10-year anniversary celebration. Nikki Cross attacked Scarlet Bordeaux as The Wyatt Sicks continued to...

‘WWE Raw’ Review (Nov 6th 2023)
Image
Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: The Judgment Day def. The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In a first-ever matchup, The Judgment Day reigned supreme on the day, besting The New Day in a high-stakes tag team match. Despite putting up a great fight, The New Day fell to The Judgment Day after they used underhanded tactics followed by a South of Heaven/Coup de Grace combo on Xavier Woods to pick up the win.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Shinsuke Nakamura def. Akira Tozawa The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Akira Tozawa gave his best effort against Shinsuke Nakamura but fell short. Tozawa looked great until he missed a Senton Bomb. Nakamura took advantage, finishing off the Alpha Academy hopeful with the Kinshasa.

Match #1: Dom Mysterio def. Ricochet The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Thanks to a major distraction from Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and Jd McDonagh on the apron, Nxt North American Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio picked up the quick pin on Ricochet with a handful of tights.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: The Creed Brothers def. The Alpha Academy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After answering The Alpha Academy’s open challenge earlier in the day, The Creed Brother overcame The Alpha Academy in their Raw debut. Shortly after Ivy Nile took out Junior Alpha Academy member Akira Tozawa at ringside, Julius Creed defied logic by lifting Otis on his shoulder and setting up Brutus to...

Match #1: The New Day def. Alpha Academy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In the final moments of a tremendous tag team matchup pitting The New Day against The Alpha Academy, Kofi Kingston took advantage of Chad Gable being down and out at ringside to hit Trouble in Paradise on Otis. This set up Xavier Woods to finish him with the elbow off the top rope.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Nxt Women’s Title Match – Becky Lynch def. Indi Hartwell The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Despite the determination of Indi Hartwell, who was never defeated in her Nxt Title reign, Nxt Women’s Champion Becky Lynch triumphed by making her opponent tap out to the Dis-arm-her.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Gunther def. Matt Riddle The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

With the rest of his Imperium teammates barred from ringside, Intercontinental Champion Gunther took on Matt Riddle in a non-title match. Gunther and Riddle traded submission attempts to start the match, with Gunther applying a sleeper hold followed by a triangle hold attempt by Riddle. Riddle’s early momentum was derailed by a huge chop from The Ring General, followed by a body slam onto the mat outside of the ring. As Gunther beat down Riddle, The Original Bro withstood the punishment, attempting to get the victory after a ripcord knee. Gunther did not need Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci with him, defeating The Original Bro a huge Powerbomb.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Damian Priest def. Shinsuke Nakamura The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Competing in first match as Mr. Money in the Bank, Damian Priest took on fellow Money in the Bank competitor Shinsuke Nakamura. The action spilled to the outside as Priest dumped Nakamura onto the barricade. Conspicuous by his absence was Finn Bálor as the rest of The Judgment Day were at ringside. Nakamura locked in an armbar to try to submit Priest. As Nakamura went for the Kinshasa, Priest evaded, hitting a gnarly clothesline followed by South of Heaven to lock up his first win as Mr. Money in the Bank.

Despite a hard-fought effort by Ricochet, the devastating Bronson Reed overcame The One and Only with the Tsunami.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Zoey Stark def. Candice LeRae The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In Candice LeRae’s matchup against Zoey Stark, Nikki Cross grabbed The Poison Pixie in an attempt to cheer her on. Her enthusiastic efforts backfired, however, and allowed Stark to take out both Superstars before finishing LeRae with the Z-360.

With a one-day alliance between The Judgment Day and The Bloodline, Solo Sikoa took on one of The Judgment Day’s problem in Rey Mysterio. Mysterio was bravely up to the challenge, with Sikoa being on an unstoppable role as of late. As Sikoa was about to hit the running hip slam in the corner, The Master of the 619 rolled out of the way, but The Street Champion kicked out of Rey’s rollup attempt. Sikoa leveled Mysterio with a Samona drop, but Rey narrowly kicked out at two. Mysterio fought back with a 619 and a Splash, Sikoa somehow survived the onslaught.

Friday Night Smackdown – July 31st 2020: Results & Review

Greetings dweebs and losers! “Smart” Mark D. Mark here, filling in for Nathan Favel, who is busy crying about his mom still being dead. I say, “Boo-Hoo, sir!” Yes, this review will be credited to Nathan Favel, because his generation gets everything handed to them like the miscreant pussies that they are. Let me just say to you all, that this review will be a master-class in critiquing and in the art of review. On this episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we have Aj Styles defending the Intercontinental Title against Gran Metalik, who sounds like an auto-shop breakfast cereal. Who names these morons? In the main event, we have Bayley defending her SmackDown Women’s Title against Nikki Cross, who seems dead-set on giving Pms something to aspire to if her erratic attitude is any indication. Let’s get on already with this millennial thirst trap called “Friday Night SmackDown” before I hurl.

Friday Ratings: ‘Shark Tank’ And ‘WWE Friday Night SmackDown’ Win The Demo Battle
Image
On yet another mid-summer night filled with reruns, it’s fitting that an original program and a rerun tie for top honors.

ABC’s Shark Tank scored an 0.5 with its encore presentation. In the episode, entrepreneurs from Malibu, Calif. offer knife sharpening by mail, while a Florida mother-daughter team had a solution for bug bites.

The WWE Friday Night SmackDown also came in at an 0.5. The night saw Bayley beat Nikki Cross in the main event to retain the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. That resulted in an after-match brawl featuring Cross, Alexa Bliss and The Fiend.

The only other original programming on the night was at CBS, where The Greatest #AtHome Videos with Cedric the Entertainer hosting came in at an 0.4, copping the night’s biggest overall P2+ audience at 3276.

The rest of the night’s fare consisted of reruns, repeats and encores.

Jeff Hardy fights Sheamus in bar, because Covid-19 is allergic to booze. Tom Brokaw is a pussy and SmackDown starts…very late here, because of base-a-ball!

Match #1: Nikki Cross def. Alexa Bliss The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Bayley played puppet master for another showdown, this time pitting Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross against each other for a SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity. Cross came in nursing cracked ribs from Bayley’s use of Banks’ Boss Time rings during their championship clash. Bliss targeted the ribs of her friend throughout the match, but Cross showed grit and battled back time and again. WWE The Horror Show at Extreme Rules 2020 review: The Fiend returns in a divisive PPV
Image
As America’s Covid woes seemingly continue, WWE has had their own issues with such and have adjusted their set-ups and altered shooting schedules and whatnot. It seems between PPV’s nowadays there is always something horrible or of great importance occurring (that’s 2020 I guess), be it the #SpeakingOut movement or the introduction of face masks for attending Performance Center audiences. Then there is the fact that, courtesy of the WWE Network’s incredible series The Last Ride, news has broken that (never say never of course) WWE icon The Undertaker has said his clash in the Boneyard match with Aj Styles at Wrestlemania 36 in April was his last match. If indeed it was, I’m sure Taker will make the odd appearance but he has meant so much to this writer over the years and his retirement is well earned. There truly will never be another.

Now, onto the business at hand.

Garance Marillier in Raw (2016)
How WWE Wrestler Alexa Bliss Became a Bowling for Soup Song (Video)
Garance Marillier in Raw (2016)
Alexa Bliss (real name Alexis “Lexi” Kaufman) is the first woman in WWE to win both the “Raw” and “SmackDown” Women’s Championships. She’s also now a rock song.

That’s range — especially for someone who’s only 5-feet-tall.

What’s incredible (though not coincidental) about this specific tale of a WWE character going mainstream is that “Alexa Bliss” — the song, not the character name — is from Lexi’s favorite band of all time, Bowling for Soup. The most amazing part, however, might be WWE Chairman Vince McMahon’s support of the song and its music video, in which “Little Miss Bliss” stars.

During a week celebrating WWE’s Women’s Evolution — of which Bliss has been a big part — and ahead of Sunday’s “Extreme Rules” pay-per-view — where Bliss will be cornering for her tag team partner Nikki Cross in a title match vs. “SmackDown” Women’s Champion...

Match #1: Jeff Hardy def. The Miz The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After The Miz & John Morrison provoked Jeff Hardy on “Miz TV,” The Charismatic Enigma laid down a challenge for The A-Lister. The two highly decorated Superstars battled throughout the match until a distraction from Sheamus seemed to tip the scales in favor of The Miz. The always resilient Hardy reversed a pin and rolled up The...

In a world growing more destructive and hopeless by the minute, the politic, debates and chaos of our era have even dripped into WWE, as the company continues down its wildest time, a time that may well be called the Covid year. As we all walk down this uncertain road, the latest coping strategy in WWE the past few weeks, has been the reintroduction of an audience. An audience made up of socially distanced WWE Performance Center trainees, all stood behind behind plexiglass walls. Apparently this was a solution done some time ago in rival promotion Aew but WWE have introduced it rather well and having an vocal select audience in attendance has certainly aided things it has to be said. It may not be back to normal but maybe, just maybe, we’re getting there.

Anyway, back to business and in a standard WWE year unplagued by viruses, we...

‘WWE Backlash 2020’ PPV Review
Image
Welcome to this review of Backlash 2020, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Vince McMahon is a genius. Edge And Randy Orton are billed as having “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”. If this match is not the greatest wrestling match ever, then there will be backlash to that. What Pay Per View is this? …Backlash! If Backlash doesn’t deliver the greatest wrestling match ever, then there will be backlash, which is the name of the show and, therefore, is what is being promised to begin with. No matter what Vince does, he can’t lose! Vince is a genius, you dumb f—s! All hail the master-mind! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! Let the show begin!

Match #1: Apollo Crews def. Andrade – WWE United States Championship Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

With a little help from Kevin Owens, Apollo Crews thwarted both Andrade and Angel Garza to remain United States Champion.

Friday Night Smackdown – June 5th 2020: Results & Review
Image
Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Cm Punk implying Aj is a racist because he isn’t commenting on George Floyd’s death. I like Punk, but he’s always been a narcissistic asshole that says shit like this. Aj does seem to have an obsession with his religion and he may have some bigotry and/or homophobia that he’ll have to deal with one day, but at least he doesn’t go around insulting people for what they say or don’t say. Okay, enough of all that. Here comes SmackDown…said nobody ever.

Match #1: Otis def. King Corbin (Disqualification) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

While walking backstage with his lovely peach, Otis grabbed King Corbin’s unattended crown and donned it in his entrance to the ring with Mandy Rose.

Friday Ratings: ABC Spells Victory In Demos Thanks To ’20/20′ And ‘Shark Tank’
Image
Topping the Friday night ratings was as easy as ABC for the alphabet network, as it cruised to an overall triumph in demos on a rerun-heavy night.

ABC had a rerun of Shark Tank score an 0.6, and that kept everyone around for newsmag 20/20, which also pulled an 0.6 over its two-hour slot.

20/20 tied for the night’s No. 1 telecast in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, leading the 9-11 Pm time period in both key Adult demos.

The WWE Friday Night SmackDown on Fox came in with an 0.5, as Sasha Banks and Bayley became the new women’s tag team champions, defeating Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.

NBC and CBS both had all reruns, but the eye network’s Blue Bloods encore had the night’s largest audience with a 4282 tally in P2+.

The night’s only other non-rerun program was an 8 Pm Masters of Illusion on The CW, which clocked an 0.1 in its half-hour slot.

WWE Raw – June 1st 2020: Results & Review
Image
Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. Like The Moody Blues always say: “It’s ass-whooping time!”

Match #1: Aleister Black def. Seth Rollins The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

When Seth Rollins’ disciples Murphy & Austin Theory got a little too close to the action, Humberto Carrillo arrived with a steel chair to even the odds. With the playing field slightly leveled, Aleister Black rolled up The Monday Night Messiah and claimed victory. However, Rollins unleashed Murphy & Theory on Black and Carrillo after the bell, then Stomped both Superstars into the canvas.

My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – I liked this slow, yet strong match. There’s plenty of smart wrestling action here, with less flash and more flesh. This is a long match that gives you a lot of slack to hang on to from bell to bell. Black is great in the lengthy matches,...

Friday Night Smackdown – May 29th 2020: Results & Review
Image
Welcome to this week’s review of Friday Night SmackDown, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got Harvey Weinstein live from prison: “Why am I being punished for doing bad shit?!” …because “She’s All That” sucked ass. Alright, here comes The Spanish Inquisition with their new hit single “Screw Religion! Where’s The Beef?”

Match #1: Sheamus wins 10-Man Battle Royal The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After SmackDown opened with the unfortunate revelation that Elias had been struck by a car and Jeff Hardy was arrested as the main suspect, it was announced that a 10-Man Battle Royal would be held to decide Daniel Bryan’s opponent in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament Semifinals. King Corbin dominated with four early eliminations, but Jey Uso ended his reign over the match with a well-timed Superkick. Sheamus and Jey Uso were the last men standing,...

WWE Raw – May 18th 2020: Results & Review
Image
Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and two tragedies have hit professional wrestling, with the disappearance of Shad Gaspard via a rip-tide and the death of iconic wrestling journalist Larry Csonka. In honor of the two we have lost, here’s a stupid joke about Stephen King:

Stephen King: My new story is about a flying vacuum that shoots radioactive Kate Mosses at the children, who are made of The Hollywood Reporter gone Lyle Lovett like a car crash up a chicken’s ass…

Publisher: Steve, are you drinking again?

Stephen: Define, a lot…

Like Dave Coulier once said, The Olson Twins won’t f— me…because they’re smart. Have you seen Christina Ricci in The Opposite Of Sex? Instead of the usual stuff, she just puts her clothes on and leaves. Nipsy Russell liked the damn...

WWE Raw – May 11th 2020: Results & Review
Image
Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Raw has a major announcement from Becky Lynch. That’s what I was gonna talk about not Alberto Del Rio. We’ve got new Money In The Bank contract holders. Would you like to go bowling?

Match #1: Bobby Lashley def. Humberto Carrillo – No Disqualification Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In a wild battle that saw steel chairs come into play, The All Mighty picked Humberto Carrillo out of the sky and forced him to tap out to a fearsome Full Nelson.

My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a fun way to watch people hurt each other for money. I wonder if John Stossel thinks that this part of the job is fake? Bl and Hc didn’t get too intense with this plunder-fight, but at least they didn’t make out at all…...

Chris Tucker and Ice Cube in Friday (1995)
WWE Smackdown – April 24th 2020: Results & Review
Chris Tucker and Ice Cube in Friday (1995)
Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and those f—— ring ropes will f— you up. It’s nice to still have some wrestling to cover. Okay, Triple H is getting a perm in the main event so he can look like New Jack after he did that dive off the scaffold.

Match #1: King Corbin def. Drew Gulak – WWE Money in the Bank Qualifying Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro stepped into King Corbin’s corner and helped the regal competitor defeat Drew Gulak and earn a spot in this year’s Money in the Bank Match. Corbin would deliver a brutal scepter blow to Gulak after the loss to put an evil exclamation point on the victory.

My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – This was a dry gulch in a sea of…dry gulches. Gulak worked hard,...

WWE Wrestlemania 36 review: WWE’s first-ever crowd-less WrestleMania delivered a weekend to remember against all odds
Randy Orton
Some would be forgiven for thinking this year’s WrestleMania was cursed but c’mon, isn’t 2020 in general cursed? I digress, this year’s event was set to be a hotly anticipated card. After a fantastic Royal Rumble PPV in January, some high profile matches had already started building. Returning hero Edge betrayed by his sadistic friend turned unhinged obsessive Randy Orton the night after, and that night Drew McIntyre received his long overdue chance on the big stage for the big belt against Brock Lesnar. Add to this the unexpected awesomeness of March’s Elimination Chamber event and this year’s Road to WrestleMania was paved with potential. Even the undercard, was coming together in some respects, with the Mandy Rose/Otis/Dolph Ziggler love triangle angle being a strongly plotted story, that made Heavy Machinery’s Otis a huge fan favourite.

That said, not everything was peachy,...

Friday Night Smackdown – April 10th 2020: Results & Review
Still from Rainbow Door
Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Peter Pan’s got a small dinky. Braun “F— The Poor Wrestlers” Strowman is the new Universal Champion, so that happened. I’m looking forward to seeing how he does in the role, but I also hope a bunch of indy wrestlers show-up and steal his money, so he can have his chance to feel their pain during the whole Covid-19 crisis. Oh, Braun said “screw you” to any indy wrestler trying to make a buck/avoid having to quit the sport during the lay-off. Yeah…what an idiot. Okay, let’s have some damn fun.

Opinionated: ‘WrestleMania 36′ Was Better Than It Had Any Right To Be
Drew Gulak
Wrestling fans will be well aware of how strange this whole period of time has been, as far as the television product. Watching pro-wrestling with no audience is very odd indeed, so when it was announced that WWE would be going ahead with WrestleMania this year, taking it out of the huge arena in Tampa, Florida and taking it to the Performance Centre in Orlando, was a very intriguing and flabbergasting concept. This whole pandemic situation has been scary, worrying and horrifying in so many ways for so many people, so I was concerned, shocked yet somehow excited about the idea of WrestleMania still being a thing. So, how did the show go? Was it worth it? Did it work, being filmed in advance in a couple of locations but mostly inside the PC, with no audience?

Well… yes. It did.

Spread over two nights, WrestleMania 36, on both the Saturday and Sunday,...

‘Wrestlemania 36: Night 1′ PPV Review
Drew Gulak
Welcome to this review of Wrestlemania 36: Night 1, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this year’s Wrestlemania is all sorts of new, with no crowd and being expanded to two days, among other things. We’ve got some big stuff to cover, so let’s do so, before people freak-out when they realize that in the midst of this Covid-19 craze. Hey, we can’t hide at home forever, but since we are right now, why not watch The Undertaker have a Hillbilly Funeral Match with Aj Styles? Okay, here comes Wrestlemania.

Match #1: Cesaro defeated Drew Gulak

My Opinion: 3.2 out of 5 – For less than five minutes, this was really getting some-where. It’s a shame that this didn’t get the time given to the Elias/Corbin match, but at least we got this at all. There better be more matches between these two, because...

WWE Wrestlemania 36: Matches, Card, and Results
Drew Gulak
And that’s a wrap on WrestleMania 36, WWE’s Granddaddy of Them All. Due to the real world issues, the show was without a doubt one of the strangest WWE shows of all time. To make up for the underwhelming nature of doing the biggest wrestling show of the year with zero audience, the show was split into two nights. As expected, the whole thing had been rather dadaist, Especially once Cena vs. Fiend started up.

Here’s a look at what’s happened.

WWE Wrestlemania 36 Night 1 Results Drew Gulak Vs. Cesaro

Results: Cesaro (Finally) broke out his old move from the indies, the UFO, where he spun Gulak’s body around Cesaro’s neck and shoulders before slamming him. Cesaro got the pin.

Kairi Sane And Asuka (C) Vs. Alexa Bliss And Nikki Cross

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Results: With Asuka knocked out of the ring, Nikki...

WWE WrestleMania 36 Predictions: Winners, Losers, and More
Bobby Lashley
You’ve heard the tagline by now. WrestleMania 36 is “too big for just one night.” Well, with 16 matches on the card, the show likely would have stretched to five or six hours if it was going ahead as planned in Tampa, in front of about 70,000 people. Instead, these matches have been pre-taped in an empty WWE Performance Center, and WWE is, wisely, choosing to break up the show over Saturday and Sunday night so they don’t completely burn out fans. Here’s our preview of what to expect, and picks for WrestleMania 36.

1. Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair for the Nxt Women’s Championship

This match is interesting because I could see it going either way. There’s an argument to be made for Flair winning, which would put her on Nxt as WWE wages war against Aew on Wednesday nights. But this could also be a star-making moment for Ripley,...

Friday Night Smackdown – March 27th 2020: Results & Review
Drew Gulak
Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…what rhymes with mull-spit? There’s a rumor that Roman Reigns is being replaced by Braun Strowman for Wrestlemania, but we won’t know until we see it. Okay, let’s get right to it…this show sucks.

Match #1: Drew Gulak def. Shinsuke Nakamura – Intercontinental Title Opportunity For Daniel Bryan At WrestleMania The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The stakes were simple, but incredibly high: If Drew Gulak defeated Shinsuke Nakamura tonight, then his new pupil Daniel Bryan would get an Intercontinental Title Match against Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 36. Gulak and Nakamura, colliding for the first time ever, exchanged strikes and holds in an incredibly hard-hitting affair. With Bryan in Gulak’s corner and Cesaro and Sami Zayn out there to support Shinsuke, the match was contentious from open to close.

Also, this show is happening with no crowd at the Performance Center due to the coronavirus frenzy, so get ready to hear wrestlers grunt for a while.

Match #1: Bayley & Sasha Banks def. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

While SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley & Sasha Banks awaited the arrival of Paige—who promised to set Bayley straight tonight—they were instead met Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross. The duo were still chomping at the bit to get an opportunity at The Kabuki Warriors and arrived to make a statement on the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bliss & Cross brought the fight to Bayley & Banks, but The Kabuki Warriors wound up looming large over the contest,...

Friday Night Smackdown – March 6th 2020: Results & Review
Mercedes Varnado
Welcome to this week’s SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big Gauntlet Match to get to, so…

Match #1: Bayley & Sasha Banks def. Naomi & Lacey Evans The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The unlikely duo of Naomi & Lacey Evans caught Bayley and the returning Sasha Banks last week on Friday Night SmackDown, defeating them in tag team action, but the SmackDown Women’s Champion & The Boss looked to retaliate tonight in this rematch. Naomi received a much-needed tag from Lacey and went on a tear, launching herself over the top rope to wipe out Bayley and pulverizing Sasha with a series of blistering kicks. Naomi went for the split-legged moonsault, but Bayley interfered from the apron, and Sasha took advantage by striking with Meteora to defeat The Glow.

My Opinion: 2.4 out of 5 – Hey, at least Bayley/Sasha Banks won. This wasn’t worth watching.

Match #1: The Miz & John Morrison def. Heavy Machinery, The Revival and The Lucha House Party – Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Match For The SmackDown Tag Team Title Shot The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

With the opportunity to challenge The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WWE Super ShowDown on the line, Heavy Machinery, The Lucha House Party, The Revival and The Miz & John Morrison collided in a Fatal-4 Way Tag Team Match. All four teams looked to gain the edge in a match that allows you to tag in anyone, not just your partner. In the pivotal moments, The Revival seemed moments away from returning to their winning ways, but Miz & Morrison made their move,...

Welcome to this week’s Friday Night SmackDown review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this show sucks. It better be good this time or I’ll be pissed. I believe in Joe Hendry. Okay, we’ve got the final build for the Royal Rumble, so let’s not waste anymore time crying about having to watch this terrible show.

Match #1: Roman Reigns & The Usos def. King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Ahead of Roman Reigns’ highly-anticipated Falls Count Anywhere Match against King Corbin at Sunday’s Royal Rumble, The Big Dog once again joined forces with his cousins The Usos against the dangerous combination of Corbin, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Things took a dark turn in a hurry, though, when Ziggler suddenly drove Jimmy Uso into the steel steps and the ring...
