Dylan Duff is an award-winning Canadian director, writer, producer, and actor. As the founder of Purple Monkeys Pictures Inc., he has written, directed and produced a number of short films, including Phobia, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Perspective, a nominee for Best International Short and Best Director at L'HIFF in Barcelona, and The Girl in the Road, which had its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatres as an official selection of Dances With Films LA. His Canadian Screen Award Qualifying short 'Terry' starring Kira Guloien of Oscar-winning 'Women Talking' had its world premiere at NFFTY in Seattle, then making its Canadian debut in Nova Scotia as an Official Selection of AIFF Kids. He is in development for a Newfoundland-set short-form comedy series entitled 'Some Queer', for which he received funding from the Canada Council for the Arts. Dylan also recently produced/post-directed a music video with Universal Music for 'Get Back Again' by The Tragically Hip. With over half a million views, it has become the band's most viewed video in nearly a decade. Dylan attended Toronto Metropolitan University's world-renowned film program, where he was awarded the Harvey Hart Director's Award and graduated with a BFA in film and a Minor in Sociology. He is a member of the CMPA, Directors UK, the Writers Guild of Great Britain, and ACTRA, as well as a voting member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.
