- Olaundra Grace, an alumnus of Tuskegee University is an American actress, singer, director, and producer.
Her love for creative writing and storytelling emerged from traumatic events of childhood bullying in school. Finding a way to escape, Olaundra would express her emotional canvas through journaling unbeknownst to her and not realizing those years of bullying would create a passion for writing. As years passed, she was given the opportunity to write her first Christmas play. In 2005 and from that point on lead to several plays and original music. Her love and passion for "the arts" gave Olaundra the platform to seek artistry in depth which began the involvement and collaboration with other playwrights in the community.
In 2011, Olaundra began working with Raisin' AJ Productions, a theatrical company founded by Miss Monique of iHeart Radio. Since then, she has starred in several professional productions alongside talents such as Benzino and Terrell Carter in "Unavailable" (2014), Tony Grant in "Shades of Love" (2015), and Ray Lavender in "Double Lives" (2016).
In 2014, Olaundra also began working with the Blue Bistro Theatre Company (founded by Anthony R. Page). Involvement in the "Crisis in Courage," a documentary about Dr. La'Veda Wallace-Page's struggle with Sickle Cell Disease, furthered her understanding of the worldwide impact on numerous lives-especially in the African American community. While working with the team, she was given the opportunity to star in the 2016 stage play, "Somewhere in Summerville," which has enhanced her creativity of characterization development to fully capture the essence of various roles.
As a versatile performing artist, Olaundra further utilizes her gift of music to inspire and encourage others. In honor of the 2012 Shero Awards Sisters Only Club (founded by Cher Best, 96.3 Kiss-FM Radio Personality), she performed an original song entitled "Everyday Woman," which celebrates the power of womanhood, and years later she was the recipient of the 2015 Sisters Only Club Shero Arts Award. In addition, she was an instructor at the 2016 Georgia Theatre Conference thereby motivating and impacting students whose interests sought after the arts.
Lastly, in 2016, Olaundra, along with the late Nathan Rothwell, launched Achemistry Productions. Together, they wrote and produced a one-woman, one-man show that explored various conversations relative to dating, marriage, justice, mental illness, and death called "HE Say, SHE Say: The Unspoken Conversation" at the historic Imperial Theatre in Augusta, GA. The show featured five one-act plays that provoked open dialogue between others to reveal truth and clarity about real issues that affect our everyday lives. The show also featured the dynamic comedienne Poncere Daniels of Poncere Productions.
Subsequently, Achemistry Productions organized and hosted its first Back-To-School event entitled #YOUMATTER, originating in 2018. This community empowerment event was based at the Augusta Commons, in Augusta, GA. The focus of #YOUMATTER was to address key social issues that our children face, such as bullying, school violence, and mental health. Although no longer in existence, Achemistry Productions produced entertainment for young adults that encompassed issues they encounter daily.
In 2023, Olaundra founded O'Destiny Productions. The mission is to have transformative conversations using theater, film, music, and podcasts as the platform that will bring hope healing, and love.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Olaundra Grace
