Persona fans captivated by the series’ politically-charged, dark fantasy successor last October are in for some excellent news. Metaphor: ReFantazio is receiving a limited-edition release on par with Persona 3 Reload’s anniversary collectibles.
Prestigious PC accessory maker Hyte is again collaborating with Japanese gaming publisher Atlus for another video game-inspired release. This time, Hyte is working on Metaphor: ReFantazio, the critically acclaimed role-playing game by the same developers of the Persona franchise, such as Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal. Although Metaphor is a relatively new franchise, the game received a glowing welcome from fans and critics following its release on Oct. 11, 2024.

This is turning out to be a pretty good year for anime fans. Aside from the returning titles that are about to hit us this summer, new stories are managing to grab the attention of viewers and become surprise hits. One of those titles is Witch Watch. The new anime series debuted earlier this month and quickly formed a fan base because of its references to several other anime series. Nickelodeon’s Max & the Midknights creator, voice cast, and co-executive producers gave fans at New York Comic Con a first look at the CG-animated series, which makes its television debut on Wednesday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. Et/Pt.
The series received an initial pick-up of 20 episodes across two seasons, with season two (10 episodes) premiering in 2025.
Appearing together for the first time, the voice of Max, Blu del Barrio (Star Trek: Discovery), and the voice of Simon, Zeno Robinson (Transformers: EarthSpark) were joined by creator and best-selling author Lincoln Peirce and co-executive producers David Skelly and Sharon Flynn on a panel.
A surprise for fans attending the panel, the voice of Kevyn, Caleb Yen (Beyblade X), also joined the group onstage. Together, the panelists shared insight into the development and creation of the show.

Max & the Midknights is coming to Nickelodeon in October, and Screen Rant has a first look at exciting information about the show. The series is based on a New York Times bestselling book trilogy by Lincoln Peirce which follows the adventures of 10-year-old Max, an aspiring knight, who leads her friends on adventures to bring peace to the Kingdom of Byjovia. Specialty distributor Shout! Studios has secured all North American rights to ecology-themed Chinese animated feature “The Legend Of Hei.” In a partnership with France’s Play Big, it will give the film a release in the U.S. and Canada.
“The Legend Of Hei” is a heart-warming fantasy about a cat spirit who goes on a journey of self-discovery after its forest home is destroyed by humans. It was directed by Zhang Ping (a.k.a Mtjj), who spent five years adapting the picture from a Flash animation series that he created in 2011 and published online.
The feature had a successful commercial release in China from September last year and earned $48 million at the box office. It subsequently enjoyed festival play at the Guangzhou and Beijing student festivals and at the 2020 edition of Annecy. It recently began a theatrical outing in Japan.
