In Partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, Dynamite Entertainment announces The Wizard of Oz in a complete graphic novel adaptation by superstar Soo Lee this September.
Audiences have been captivated by The Wizard of Oz for over 85 years, since its release in 1939. Around that same time, the burgeoning medium and industry of comic books and graphic novel storytelling were flying off the newsstands and into the hearts of readers, setting the foundations for another incredible art form. Previously, DC and Marvel teamed up to produce a well-regarded tabloid adaptation in the 1970s.
Now eighty-five years later these two worlds collide as the wickedly talented Soo Lee flexes her complete artistic skills as writer, artist, and cover artist for an enchanting new vision of the timeless classic. All ages will enjoy following a young girl named Dorothy, her adorable dog Toto, and the beloved friends they will meet and help along the way.

Prepare to meet the "Nightlander," Star Wars' terrifying new boogeyman!
Fangoria has just unveiled details for Star Wars: Tales of the Nightlands, a chilling three-issue miniseries coming from Dark Horse Comics.
The entire series will be penned by the acclaimed Cavan Scott, with each issue brought to life by a different talented artist: Soo Lee on issue #1, Vicenzo Riccardi on issue #2, and Robert Hack on issue #3. The haunting cover art will be crafted by Francesco Francavilla.
Lucasfilm Publishing Creative Director Michael Siglain told Fangoria, "Dark Horse has a long tradition of publishing some of the best scary stories in comics… And, we’re honored to continue our partnership with them to tell more terrifying tales set in a galaxy far, far away. We have a Murderers’ Row of contributors, led once again by ‘Count’ Cavan Scott. His latest spine-tingling tome combines fear, despair, dread, and maybe just a little bit of hope.

Star Warsis about to introduce a nightmare-fuel new character known as the Nightlander into its mythos, which the synopsis for the upcoming horror comic Tales From the Nightlands intriguingly describes as being a “Star Wars boogeyman who seeks to possess a powerful, living host and bring despair to the galaxy!”
As revealed in an exclusive by Fangoria, Star Wars: Tales From the Nightlands will be a three-issue series written by Cavan Scott, featuring a rotating cast of artists, including Soo Lee, Vincenzo Riccardi, and Robert Hack.
“Nothing prepared me for the Nightlands,” Scott stated as part of the announcement for the series; Star Wars has featured its share of horror stories over the years, but this one seems like it has the potential to inaugurate a new era of terror for the franchise.

Warning: Spoilers for DC/Rwby #5!In a rare instance, Lois Lane has finally received powers that aren't related to her association with Superman. The DC/Rwby series has seen Team Rwby inexplicably find themselves in the DC Universe, thanks to portals opened by Lex Luthor with help from Salem of Remnant. Their presence there is enough for DC's inhabitants to suddenly gain Semblances of their own. In Rwby, a Semblance is a power based on the user's inner essence. For example, Batman's Semblance allows him to predict his opponent's actions in a fight before they happen, which is perfect for the World's Greatest Detective. Meanwhile, Batgirl can learn the history of an item just by touching it, much like a real Oracle. Even Alfred gets his own powers, becoming an even better butler in the process.

DC has given Wonder Woman a new superpower, but while the ability is sure to be temporary in its current form, it's an ability that's perfectly suited to Diana in DC's future stories - especially since it draws on her lore and past.
After Yang is mortally wounded in Marguerite Bennett and Soo Lee's DC/Rwby #4, Wonder Woman finally manifests her semblance, which turns out to be healing. While Wonder Woman always had enhanced healing, she wasn't able to use it on others. The new power she obtains in DC/Rwby #4 allows her to heal others even from serious injuries. It's the perfect power for the peace-focused hero, and something that would make her unique among the rest of the Justice League.
Wonder Woman's Healing Powers Should Stick Around

In 1973 Chol Soo Lee, a 21-year-old Korean immigrant, was wrongfully incarcerated for the murder of a Chinatown gang leader. He became a symbol for systemic injustice against Asian Americans and spurred solidarity within his community. His prison memoirs have been adapted into a book and his case inspired the 1989 drama film “True Believer.” But his life — what happened before and after he became famous for his imprisonment — was far from a Hollywood fairy tale.
In the documentary “Free Chol Soo Lee,” first-time doc directors Julie Ha and Eugene Yi use archival materials in an attempt to present their tragic hero in all three dimensions. Despite their efforts, Soo Lee feels just out of reach, but the story of his life remains as important as it is horrifying.
The film opens by explaining the crime and how Soo Lee became a prime suspect. Journalistic giant K.W. Lee compared Soo Lee’s...

The late Korean-American immigrant Chol Soo Lee never got the chance to narrate Julie Ha and Eugene Yi’s clear-eyed documentary about his journey through the American justice system, but his voice rings through every moment of “Free Chol Soo Lee.” His own memoirs and letters to key compatriots frame the film, thanks to respectful and compelling narration from another former prisoner of Korean descent, Sebastian Yoon (you can find his story in the Netflix Ken Burns docuseries “College Behind Bars”).
, which follows Lee’s tragic life through many iterations. A tremendous miscarriage of justice led to him being incarcerated in 1973 for a murder he did not commit, and that story alone could support its own film. However, Ha and Yi also delve into Lee’s upbringing, the myriad ways systems let him down (from schools to assorted detention facilities), and his desire to find a place in the world as a confused young man.
