Mahol Kim Hetly was born in the city of Kfar Saba in central Israel, to Ayala Yemini and Netanel Hetly.
She and her sisters were raised by their mother, an accountant, and her grandparents, Jacob & Miriam Yemini in Tel Mond, Israel. Her grandparents from both sides immigrated to Israel from Yemen.
Throughout her childhood and teen years, Mahol Kim took part in various acting programs. During her teen years, she was in Chich's Neighbors (of Tel Aviv), a known youth acting group in Israel, where she studied Voice and Speech with the musical producer and composer Shai Fishman. As part of the group, she appeared in three musicals: Secret of the Archive, Into the woods and Rahav's Cabaret in major roles.
Mahol Kim is trained in Tel Aviv and Los Angeles, including Warner Loughlin and Howard Fine Acting studios. She worked with directors; Daniel Syrkin, Alon Zingman, Yuval Shafferman and Assaf Bernstein among others.
Knowing she wanted to be an actress since she was three years old and aiming for a career in Hollywood, at the age of six, she asked her mother to buy her an English Learning Kit and started to learn English by herself. In addition to English lessons in school, she learned most of her English and American accent from watching American television series and movies.
