The Gotham Film & Media Institute has unveiled the three tribute recipients to be honored at the Gotham TV Awards. Mariska Hargitay will receive the Anniversary Tribute for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” Peter Morgan will receive the Creator Tribute for “The Crown” and Lulu Wang will receive the Spotlight Tribute for “Expats.” The tributes will be presented during the inaugural ceremony on June 4 at Cipriani 25 in New York City.

Godfather of Harlem has added a new recurring guest star for season four. Rome Flynn (With Love) will appear in the upcoming episodes of the crime drama. Season three finished airing in March of 2023, and MGM+ renewed the series for its fourth season in November. Ten episodes are being produced.

The critically acclaimed drama from ABC Signature is scheduled to begin production on Season 3 in New York this summer.

Just one week after TVLine exclusively reported that Castle would soon make its streaming premiere on Hulu, the former ABC romantic procedural is getting a new syndicated home.
The series starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic — which previously aired reruns on TNT — is moving to Lifetime, where it will air Tuesdays, beginning Oct. 5 at 2 pm Et/Pt. An all-star team is behind FX’s upcoming drama pilot “Kindred,” the network’s adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s acclaimed 1979 novel.
FX announced on Wednesday that Janicza Bravo, who recently directed the heralded 2020 film “Zola,” will direct the FX show’s pilot episode. “Kindred” will be executive produced by Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields (showrunners on “The Americans”), as well as Darren Aronofsky, the director of “Black Swan” and “Mother!” Additional executive producers include Bravo, series writer Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (“Watchmen”), Courtney Lee-Mitchell, Ari Handel, Ernestine Walker, and Merrilee Heifetz.
