A. Manuel Miranda

As a 1st generation American, he was born Abed Manuel Miranda to a Dominican mother and a Cuban father in The Bronx, New York. His mother at the time lived in Manhattan and by the time he was 2, moved to Brooklyn where they lived until he was 11. His mother, divorced by this time, being raised by his Mother & Grandmother, moved to Providence in search of a better life as he was entering adolescence and his mother didn't want to raise him without a father in that environment. At 18, he joined the Army and spent 3 years stationed in Nuremberg, Germany where he served as an ammunition specialist. When he got back, after another 4 years in Providence, he did what seems to be a mandatory stay for anyone of Cuban descent and spent some time in South Florida. Now, he and his wife live in Atlanta GA and don't plan on going ANYWHERE as Atlanta has brought him to where he is now.
