Welcome to my review of Aew All In: Texas 2025, the first to take place in the United States since 2018’s original Roh/indie supershow All In, which kicked off Aew as we know it today. The show opened with Zero Hour as usual, which saw the Sons of Texas defeat Shane Taylor Promotions; “Big Boom!” A.J. and The Conglomeration beat the Don Callis Family; and a rematch between Ftr (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (with Stokely) and The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) in which the latter team were defeated – unlike their previous outing! The Aew Women’s Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm, was out next for a Women’s Title Eliminator Match against the red-hot Lady Frost. We opened with back-and-forth holds, strikes and more, before Lady Frost sent Storm tumbling to the outside, capitalizing with a cartwheel on the apron into a cannonball and a handspring on the ring barricade into a moonsault onto the champion. Welcome to this review of 2023’s All Out pay-per-view, which once again emanated from Chicago and in particular the Now Arena. And we all know Chicago crowds can appreciate a good pay-per-view and this was a good pay-per-view! Sammy Guevara has been one of All Elite Wrestling’s emerging stars since the company’s inception. Aligning with the legendary Chris Jericho early on certainly helped raise his profile. However, the 30-year-old is still hungry to truly break through. A massive step in that direction could come by facing his mentor at Aew’s Grand Slam episode of Dynamite on Wednesday, September 20. Match #1: Aew International Championship Match – Orange Cassidy def.. Bandido The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:

Bandido and Cassidy chain wrestled in a great exchange in the early goings of the match. Cassidy connected with a hurracanrana (with his hands in his pockets) and followed up with a dropkick to Bandido. Bandido caught Cassidy, who was attempting for a tope. Bandido dropped Orange throat-first across the guardrail. Bandido drove his shoulder into Orange’s midsection. Bandido applied a stretch muffler to Orange Cassidy. Cassidy managed to crawl to the ropes to force the ref break. Bandido flew over the top rope with a tope con hiro. Back in the ring, Bandido chopped at Cassidy’s chest.

Both teams brawled to start the match! Toni and Jamie paired up, while Britt and Ruby slugged it out. Hayter hit a double shoulder tackle on Soho and Storm. Hayter double suplexed them! Saraya grabbed Hayter’s ankle. Storm tried for a Ddt on the outside but Hayter pumped the brakes. Back in the ring, Storm blasted Jamie with a forearm and followed up with a hip attack. Baker attempted a Panama Sunrise but it was countered. Soho used a back heel trip on Baker on the floor.

Darby hit a stunner right out of the gate and followed up with a tope suicida! Darby climbed up to the top and jumped onto Swerve on the arena floor again. Outside the ring, Swerve scooped up Darby and slammed him. Swerve climbed the guardrail but Darby dropkicked it, knocking Swerve down. Darby charged Swerve and squashed him against the barricade with a coffin splash. Swerve swept out Darby’s legs as Darby was on top of the steel ring steps. Swerve smashed the heel of his boot against Darby’s jaw. Swerve pulled off Darby’s belt and whipped him with it.

Ethan Page booted Hook as Hook was making his entrance. They began to brawl around the ring, with Hook headbutting Page. Hook followed Ethan Page up the arena steps, fighting each other among the fans. Hook clubbed Page with cross face strikes. Ethan Page swung a steel pipe at Hook, but Hook countered by pummeling Page with a metal garbage can. Hook hit a t-bone suplex on Page on the arena floor. Page attempted the Ego’s Edge on a table but Hook escaped and countered with a lariat. Ethan Page powerslammed Hook through the timekeeper’s table!

Match #1: Sammy Guevera def. Konesuke Takeshita

My Thoughts: When Sammy Guevara isn’t messing around with the Jsa or p*ssing off fans with over-the-top affection to his wife Tay Melo on TV he Can actually wrestle. And thankfully that’s what happened here, as Gueara and Takeshita really delivered a great opening match. I wouldn’t have had Takeshita lose, but as other have noted – he probably lost to push the Don Callis angle. Which I guess I can live with, if it means Takeshita gets to the next level in Aew.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: House of Black (Brodie King and Malakai Black) def.

The world is in for a treat when All Elite Wrestling sends the signal from Canada Life Center in Winnipeg on Wednesday, March 15.

Aew Dynamite and Aew Rampage will air from Winnipeg on Wednesday and Friday, respectively, marking only the second time that professional wrestling’s newest major player makes the trek north. Jericho is often considered among the greatest professional wrestlers in history and certainly one of the best to ever represent Canada.

In 2018, Jericho left WWE for a dream match against fellow Winnipeg native Kenny Omega. The match was brokered by another Winnipeg professional wrestling personality, Don Callis, and it headlined New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (Njpw) famed Wrestle Kingdom card at the Tokyo Dome. Jericho says it’s fitting for Aew to debut in Winnipeg due to the influence that match had on the eventual formation of Aew.

He connected with a split-legged moonsault for a near fall on Sammy. Andretti hit Sammy with a lariat, knocking him out of the ring. Andretti jumped to the outside with a springboard but Sammy countered with a massive thrust kick! Back in the ring they traded forearms. Andretti nailed Sammy with a neck breaker. My Thoughts: A great start to this special extra episode of Dark, with one of my favourite tag teams taking on one of Aew’s most popular tag teams in a match that ended up being a exciting back and forth that thankfully didn’t have The Workhorsemen just lying down and eating the pin.

March 3, 2023 – TBS’ new follow-doc series, “Aew: All Access,” is set to premiere on Wednesday, March 29 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt, following “Aew: Dynamite.” Featuring Adam Cole, Dr. Britt Baker, Sammy Guevara, Tay Melo, The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, Eddie Kingston and Aew CEO, Gm and Head of Creative Tony Khan, the highly anticipated series is the ultimate behind-the-scenes experience for wrestling fans.

The first season of “Aew: All Access” will consist of six one-hour episodes. The series will showcase Aew’s stars as they navigate the week-to-week challenges to remain at the top and will track the rivalries between talent as they vie for fans’ attention. Over the course of the series, viewers will get the chance to follow the contentious lead-up to Aew’s major wrestling events and matches. “Aew: All Access” will complement TBS and TNT’s portfolio of top-rated wrestling content, including “Aew: Dynamite” and “Aew: Rampage” respectively.

TBS has expanded its All Elite Wrestling franchise by greenlighting Aew: All Access, a documentary series featuring the league’s biggest stars.

The show, slated to premiere this March, will feature Adam Cole, Dr. Britt Baker, Sammy Guevara, Tay Conti, The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, and Eddie Kingston, along with Aew CEO, Gm, and Head of Creative Tony Khan.

“With the new Aew: All Access series, they’ll have a chance to peek behind the curtain and into the lives of their favorite wrestlers like never before,” said Khan.

Each episode will showcase Aew’s stars as they navigate their week-to-week challenges. Aew: All Access joins TBS and TNT’s other wrestling content, including Aew: Dynamite and Aew: Rampage.

This marks the first new unscripted series greenlighted by TBS in 2023 and falls under the strategy by the new Wbd regime for launching entertainment programming that complements the Turner networks’ sports/wrestling coverage.
