Thomas Hamby

Thomas Hamby, who writes as D B Thomas, was born in Tennessee USA and shares his time with his Finnish born spouse of 53 years between Florida and Finland. He is an actor and a writer who discovered the former and rediscovered the latter as twin joys of life after retiring from a career that took him on a journey of discovery around Mother Earth. He released his first novel, "Sanditon on Reflection" in 2021. In December 2023, his publisher, Vintage Editore of Bari, Italy released an Italian language version titled "Recordi di Sanditon". Holding Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees, he is a retired diplomat, highlights of which are meeting three U.S. Presidents, several foreign heads of state and while serving in London, had the honor of being presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, with whom he had a captivating, if brief, conversation about the importance of agriculture to the past and future of civilization.
