But Glasser has not entirely escaped financial turmoil.

Things got off to a jaw-dropping start on The Challenge: Vets and New Threats‘ premiere, with a shocking elimination that no one in the cast saw coming. The episode began with the 16 pairs of competitors engaging in the first Season 41 challenge, called “Mud Ball Madness.” In it, the teammates were strapped together and challenged to go into a mud pit and retrieve balls that’d been dropped from a helicopter, with various point denominations indicated by color. With a U.K. alliance quickly forming — Olivia Kaiser led her boyfriend Theo Campbell and other Brits in that crew, it seemed — the American veterans were desperate to eke out a win. Indeed, new flirtmance partners Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio and Dee Valladares managed to walk away victorious. This gave Bananas even more power in the house than he already had just by reputation; he could choose one other team to protect from elimination consideration.

Was there another $1 million winner on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Ken Jennings and Matt Damon left off episode one at the $500,000 question on the game show. The pair’s episode continued on July 30, where they tried to win the $1 million. They only had two questions left to try and win it all. With three lifelines left, they struggled on the $500,000 question. “With another career path already established, who got his first taste of the entertainment world when he entered a Steve Martin look-alike contest?” the question read. The options were Dr. Oz, Jerry Springer, Bill Nye, or Anthony Bourdain. “I have straight-up never heard of this,” Ken Jennings said. “They’re all at least possible. The pair wound up going with their Ask the Host Lifeline. Jimmy Kimmel knew the answer, which was Bill Nye, “The Science Guy,” who won them $500,000. Ken Jennings is all too familiar with...

Attention Scoobies! There’s a new Slayer in town who will have you shaking in your stylish yet affordable boots. After over 20 years of living in a world without a chosen Slayer, Hulu had decided to right that wrong by bringing back Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the genre-bending, brilliant series with an empowered female hero who understood why it was stupid to go to battle in a skirt. Originally airing from 1997 to 2003, Buffy the Vampire Slayer ran for 144 episodes across seven seasons and two networks. More than just a cult favorite, the series helped shape modern genre television, paving the way for shows like Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, and Stranger Things. It redefined small-screen horror, pushed boundaries for LGBTQ+ representation, and showcased deceptively clever writing by using supernatural elements as metaphors for real-life struggles. It even made musical episodes a viable (and celebrated) storytelling format. Here’s everything we know...

When host Andy Cohen asked Taylor’s estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, about the huge fight between them that led to Taylor seeking professional help, Cartwright started listing off all of the abuse she faced from her spouse.
She began with information that audiences knew from this season: “He was extremely aggressive. He threw the coffee table. It landed on my knee. It turned black immediately. He threw both barstools.”
Then came the new information.

In the early hours of July 29, 1976, 18-year-old medic-in-training Donna Lauria and her friend Jody Valenti, then a 19-year-old nurse, were sitting in Valenti’s blue two-door Oldsmobile Cutlass in the Bronx, after a night dancing at a disco. Without warning, a man approached their vehicle, pulled a gun from a paper bag, and fired multiple shots, striking Lauria in the back and killing her instantly. Valenti was shot and wounded in her leg, but survived the attack. This brutal and seemingly random crime marked the beginning of a violent spree of attacks that would keep a terrified New York on edge for more than a year until David Berkowitz, originally known as the “.44 Caliber Killer” because of his weapon of choice, was captured by authorities in August 1977.

[Editor’s Note: This article contains spoilers through Episode 8 of Season 3 of “The Gilded Age”]
We’ve come a long way on “The Gilded Age” from the marquee moment of drama being Agnes (Christine Baranski) crossing from one side of the street to the other. Season 3 of the HBO series has traveled from Arizona to across the Atlantic, with of course plenty of time spent in our favorite old (and new) homes in New York. That presents a new kind of challenge for production designer Bob Shaw and his team, now that they’ve mastered the miles of marbling and ostentatious opera house decorations of Seasons 1 and 2.
The Russell Mansion and the show’s New York backlot live on Long Island — it feels appropriate that, by contrast, the Van Rhijn house is in Queens. And of course, the “The Gilded Age” production design and locations team is still getting through their wishlist of period-appropriate homes and mansions around the East Coast. But...

In every generation, there is a Chosen One. For the past two decades, the world has been without a Slayer. But that wrong is finally being righted, as the Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival is now well underway and casting for the new series is moving full speed ahead. However, although the iconic intro once stated that she alone would stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness, that was never entirely true. It takes a loyal pack of Scoobies, aspiring Slayers, Watchers, alluring vampires, friendly werewolves, and other allies to help the Slayer in her quest. In the reboot, Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to return as Buffy Summers, now taking on a mentor role for a new Slayer. She steps into a position similar to that of Watcher Rupert Giles, originally played by Anthony Head. Ryan Kiera Armstrong has been cast as the new Slayer.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr informed Comcast on Tuesday that he has launched an investigation into the company’s relations with its NBC affiliates, days after President Trump called for the network to be held “accountable” for favoring the Democratic Party and threatened to revoke broadcast licenses.

Of those who came onto the bus to compete in Destination X, Christian “Biggy” Bailey was the least traveled of them all. The professional sports bettor from Tennessee found himself going toe to toe with contestants with jobs like flight attendant, pilot, and travel influencer — all careers that seemed to give a distinct advantage in a game that turned all of Europe into a game board. However, despite that disadvantage, he still made it all the way to the top three, besting nine other contestants, thanks in part to hitting the books and studying geography to prepare but also his strong social game. Biggy was a foe to no one — until that came back to bite him. In the finale, Biggy finally learned that Rick Szabo and Peter Weber were in a secret alliance, and they conspired against him to narrowly stop him from advancing to the grand finale. Considering...

As HGTV fans continue to mourn the loss of several home renovation shows, a new report offers insight into why seven series were cut. “Home reno shows are expensive because all of the materials are jacked up and on delay, the price of wood and marble and everything else is going up, so these shows don’t make as much sense anymore,” a source told Deadline in an article published on Monday, July 28. An anonymous producer agreed, adding, “Stuff wouldn’t arrive on time; we had wood floors, for instance, that would come in six weeks after we started production, and then we’re also depending on contractors.” The producer continued, “Everyone knows if you’re doing construction on your home, you never come in on budget. So, try to apply that to a show that has really strict budgets. Some of our episodes took 16 weeks to shoot; it’s...

Peter Weber was one of the most seasoned competitors on Destination X, having already been on The Bachelor and The Traitors before stepping onto the bus in the Paris leg of the journey. He was also one of the most well-prepared contestants of all, with his experience as a pilot giving him unique insight into the direction shifts of the bus and some of the finer details about the group’s travel locales. So it was hardly a surprise to see him make it to the final two, especially after successfully keeping his alliance with Rick Szabo a secret until the bitter end. What may have been a shock, though, was that he came up just short in the finale, incorrectly guessing that “Destination X” was the Tower of London instead of Big Ben. According to Peter, though, there’s a reason he was drawn to that spot instead of...
