Face-Off: Dexter and His Dad vs. David Fisher and His Dad

rubyfruit76
Michael C. Hall has starred in two of the most iconic TV series ever: first as David Fisher in Six Feet Under (2001) and then as the titular character in Dexter (2006). The two characters had little in common but did share one characteristic as unconventional as the two characters: both had close relationships with their fathers. What is so uncommon is that both of their Dads are dead throughout both series: we see the occasional flashback but mostly we know their relationships because their bonds -- and indeed, their conversations and physical affection -- continue on after their fathers die.

Now that Dexter: Resurrection (2025) has reunited Dexter and Harry Morgan, which father-son relationship that endured even after death do you find more endearing?

After voting, feel free to discuss here.
