Modern Remakes of 1950s Sci-Fi Classics

The 1950's are considered as "the golden age of science fiction films". In that decade the interest in space travel and new technologies inspired a number of films in the genre never seen before.

While their budget and target audience meant that most of these films were considered as B movies, many of them became classics that influenced the genre for decades to come.

Several of them have been remade as high budget films for modern audiences.
