He appeared in three films that depicted political/social conflicts in Latin American nations in the 1980's: Sob Fogo Cerrado (1983), Salvador: O Martírio de um Povo (1986) and Romero (1989), with the latter two films portraying the same events on El Salvador and the killing of Archbishop Oscar Romero.
