  • Following a bathtub fall while on vacation in Mexico, she passed away later in Los Angeles from pneumonia and respiratory failure on July 4, 1995.
  • Best remembered by the public for her starring role as the socialite turned farm wife Lisa Douglas on O Fazendeiro do Asfalto (1965).
  • She was the first of the Gabors to immigrate to the United States from Hungary.
  • Resided platonically with Merv Griffin, creator of the game show Wheel of Fortune (1983), for several years up until her death.
  • In 1972, she launched an eponymous fashion collection with Luis Estevez, a Cuban-born American fashion designer and costume designer.
  • Of the three Gabor sisters, she was the only one who was never married to George Sanders. He was married to Zsa Zsa Gabor from 1949-54 and to Magda Gabor from 1970-71.

  • Following her death, she was interred near O Fazendeiro do Asfalto (1965) co-star Eddie Albert at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetary in Los Angeles, California. Lot #306. The epitaph on her grave reads: "Our darling Eva. We love you. You are in our hearts forever.".
  • She was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television at 6614 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, CA on October 23, 1984.
  • Daughter of Jolie Gabor. Younger sister of Magda Gabor and Zsa Zsa Gabor. Aunt of Francesca Hilton and ex-step-grandaunt of Paris Hilton and Nicky Rothschild.
