She acted in Regina Taylor's play, "The Ties that Bind," at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois with Darryl Alan Reed in the cast. Michael Bodeen was sound designer.
She was born in Detroit and moved to Chicago, where she received a
bachelor's degree in acting from the The Goodman School of Drama of
Northwestern University. To perfect her depiction of blind "Marissa Clark" in
Edição de Amanhã (1996), she has done research for her role with the Chicago Guild of the Blind and has worked with a seeing eye dog. She is the
youngest of seven children.
