Barbora Johansson

Barbora Johansson is Lisbon/Prague based filmmaker and multimedia artist. She was born into artistic family of mother film director and father architect. She graduated from Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and gained most of her filming skills during studies in Paris, Instanbul, Brussels and London. She founded film-discussion platform Kinolab within which were produced several of her films, especially documentaries focused on current social themes. She also collaborates with contemporary artists as dancers, performers, fashion designers or musicians for whom she produces various audio-visual materials. Her videos have appeared at several festivals such as La Jolla Fashion Film Festival in California or were awarded within category Best video 2015-2016 at AIPP Awards. She is teaching Video and visual communication and also produces and directs contemporary theatre plays within which her audio-visual materials are widely represented.
