Dominic Megam Sangma is a National Award Filmmaker from Meghalaya, who graduated from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, India, specializing in Direction and Screenplay Writing.
He worked in National Film and Development Corporation Ltd, for two years before he opened his own Production Company called ANNA FILMS.
He also teaches Direction and Script Writing at the Film and Television Institute, Itanagar, India as a guest faculty.
He co-founded Kelvin Cinema Festival of Films and he is an Artistic Director of the festival.
He was invited to the Cannes Film Festival with his feature film project Rapture in 2019.
His first feature film MA.AMA became the first Garo film to win a National Award. The film won the Best Cinematography Award at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival 2019. It also won Best Film at the 14th International Film Festival of Thrissur.
His second feature film Rapture became a huge success in the film festival, it was world premiered In the Locarno Film Festival. It won the Best Cultural Diversity award in the Asian Pacific Screen Awards in Brisbane Australia. Won NETPAC Award in MAMI, Mumbai. Won Honourable Mention Award in Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. He was on Juries for the Indian Panorama, IFFI, and Guwahati International Short Film and Documentary Film Festival; he was also on a Preview Committee for the International Film Festival of India. He was selected in Berlinale Talents 2020.
