Charlotte Sheppard is a story development executive and screenwriter
based in Los Angeles, CA.
Sheppard has provided story development assistance for projects for Sony Pictures, Troika Pictures, Roberi Media, Big Air Studios, Splendid & Co., Home Theater Films, and Adolescent Content. As a literary consultant, her clients have been semifinalists for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award and published by Lycaon Press.
While working in development for Home Theater Films, she was integral in developing Christian Mingle (2014), starring Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Patrick Moore, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Stephen Tobolowsky, John O'Hurley, Corbin Bernsen, David Keith, and Morgan Fairchild, and directed by Corbin Bernsen.
In her current position as Head of Development for Roberi Media, her feature projects include A Cilada (2015), starring Nick Jonas, Isabel Lucas, Paul Sorvino, Graham Rogers, and Dermot Mulroney, and directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, and A Estrada Interior (2014), starring Robert Sheehan, Dev Patel, Zoë Kravitz, Kyra Sedgwick, and Robert Patrick, and directed by Gren Wells. Projects in development include The White Devil, based on the Gothic thriller by Justin Evans and written and directed by Jahmil X.T. Qubeka, and Nelson, written by Tim Macy and directed by Ramaa Mosley.
As a screenwriter, Sheppard was first hired to adapt Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist John Steinbeck's final work, "The Acts of King Arthur and His Noble Knights." She has sold four screenplays, one teleplay, and a variety of promotional films, and is a contributing writer for Friend Magazine.
She is married to Robert C. Sheppard.
