Writer, director, producer Susan Ruth began her career as a performing songwriter and released several critically acclaimed albums. She's written songs for artists, including; Reba McEntire, Lonestar, and Erdem Kinay.
She studied Improv and sketch comedy at The Second City (Hollywood), in the Conservatory Program.
Ruth created and hosts the award-winning Hey Human podcast and is an accomplished abstract painter.
Her third cousins are Academy award-nominated film star Chester Morris (1901 - 1970) and silent film star Louise Brooks (1906 - 1985) and Susan is the third-generation grandniece of 19th/early-20th-century painter Carl Gutherz (1844 - 1907), considered one of the "Fathers of the American Symbolist" movement. Ruth's great-aunt is best-selling children's author Quail Hawkins (1905 - 2002).
