Coda Li Marcus
- Ator
Coda Li Marcus (He/They) was born on June 7, 1998 in Chicago, IL to Jim Marcus, a musician and a creative director, and Julia, a photographer. He grew up in Humboldt Park and attended Chicago's first public arts high school, ChiArts, alongside his theatre ensemble from 2012-2016. Together, they studied technique and collaborated on a multitude of shows- from Shakespeare to devised work. After finishing his first year at SFUAD in NM, the university was shut down. From Chicago to New Mexico to New York to Spain, wherever Coda went on to live afterwards, he has remained fiercely committed to developing his craft. Finally, in 2023, he obtained his degree in theatre from CSULB before moving to Hollywood, where he currently resides.
Coda has brought life to a variety of student, independent, and feature films. His credits include Ivan in the horror anthology I Dream of a Psychopomp (2021), Sebastian in Amicus (2019), and Dr. Frank 'N Furter in CSULB's The Rocky Horror Show (2023).
They love to go on adventures, obsess over the hottest TV & film, and play video games with their friends. In true Gemini fashion, he is fascinated by 2 million different things- away from the stage and the lens of a camera. However, acting never ceases to amaze him as a wonderful medium for universal compassion & understanding.
Coda has dreams of travelling the World, becoming a series regular on The Walking Dead (he knows it's over, but it's never really over), and opening a talent agency of his own. He hopes for an industry that doesn't feel so exclusive, especially for those who don't even have access to begin their journey.
