Plays the guitar since age fifteen after hearing Hendrix. He got a Fender electric guitar and taught himself how to play learning Hendrix and Slash. In his late teens and early twenties he was the lead guitarist in an alternative hard rock band called River City Ransom performing shows in New York. He got the chance to hang with Ron Asheton, guitarist of Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Joey Santiago, guitarist of the Pixies, Dan Nigro, a producer, was at the sound-check for Ozzy and Black Sabbath's The End tour where he got a custom-made guitar pick from Tony Iommi and met Ronnie Wood and David Bowie. He plays the same Fender guitar today using a custom-made guitar pick from Jerry Cantrell, guitarist of Alice In Chains.
