This film is to cinema what Michael Jackson's Thriller is to music.
Fun served with extra cheese.
If you are a B-movie fan this is a must see. If you can't appreciate B-movies you won't get it.
It's a love story, it's a comedy and musical. I actually found myself laughing out loud
It's just silly fun!
This movie is by far the most interesting film i've ever seen, It's described as a loving homage to 1950's Drive-In movies, and it surely is----it's basically like your typically horror movie but with a skunk replacing the word 'werewolf'. the story is very impressive, the cast is outstanding (despite some of the actors who are a lot closer to middle age than teen age), the costumes look magnificent as well as the makeup on the wereskunk itself and the jokes and gags are hilarious. and if your a fan of Drive-In Movies from the '50s as well low-budget films from that era, check this one out!
---this flick may well fill the bill for you. It's described as a loving homage to '50's monster movies, and it surely is----it's basically Dobie Gillis Meets the Skunkman. But where others in this genre are just plain bad--sometimes not even worthy of Rifftrax---this one lampoons the 'teen monster' theme with a steady combo of humor and comic terror. Any flaws (such as some actors who are a lot closer to middle age than teen age, and an inventively-cast, yet very annoying, 'Deputy Gary') can be forgiven, because of the movie as a whole. It's got enough clever bits and dialogue to keep you watching till the end (the sherrif's encounter with the guy in the tiny shed is a scream.) Most of the main cast has talent----not always the case in these low-budget jobs----and the violence is only cartoon-graphic, although not for children. It's worth a watch.
