No More Chances

Pablo Moline is a directors director. His passion for sharing depth of story and character is apparent in his latest film. He has managed to show how each of us can be so isolated in the space we occupy and yet be together in a fulfilling and none cliché way. I don't want to give the story away, and it opens up easily enough. Yet in Moline style, he quickly shows us the domino effect and how each personality is a part of this, all within a story. The film is well cast, with some serious talent, the camera work is good, the editing stylized, yet accessible. I look forward to seeing what he could weave with a feature and more tools at his disposal. He doesn't waste a frame on anything that doesn't pull us in. Impressive director; keep your eye on him.

It's not often that you come across a film that makes you re- evaluate your life. A good story teaches you a lesson without the fabrication and masks of the typical Hollywood studio norm. It's become very common nowadays for films to lack substance by simply only touching on the surface of our lives.

Pablo Moline's new short film, No More Chances, forces you to explore much beyond that by bravely laying out the rawness of the life of the characters. The loneliness, the desire, the yearning, the struggles, and most of all, the hope we all strive for is rendered so well in this short film.

Pablo has taken his talents as a director to a whole new level making the audience see eye to eye with the message of film. You can tell that not only does Pablo strive for truth, but also the human connection that makes great films so worth watching. His talent and vision brings this story to life in a way makes the audience (especially myself) think how real to life the film is and how thankful I am that he's brought it to the screen. He is a genuine storyteller and this film is a wonderful example of it. I very much look forward to more of his films in the near future.

"No more chances" duration is only 20 minutes, but at the end of it you feel like you watched a full length movie, maybe because the story is whole, complete, and deeply touching.

The performance of Kyle Valle is outstanding, taking us to emotional places we rarely experience. The cinematography and the original music are beautiful and could stand by themselves.

I am interested in independent films, specially low budget ones, because that is a situation in which a director's creativity gets triggered to produce uncommon results that may be more interesting than what we normally see on mainstream productions. Pablo Moline's directorial debut is one of those cases. It delivers great originality, with touches of surrealism, all at the service of a very powerful story. The trailer promotes the film as "thought provoking" but in my personal experience it went deeper into emotions than into thoughts. That may be a good thing.

Pablo Moline is coming out as a young director with a promising future. I am eagerly awaiting his next film.

This was a riveting tale of a man, who like many of us, found himself in a turning point of his life, where he questioned what he was doing with the rest of his life. The story was not only exciting and unexpected but it left the audience with a positive note at the end, in hopes of helping one find a sort of epiphany in one's own life. The film was masterfully directed from the shots and camera angles to the depiction of the characters (even the minor roles circled back and were integrated gracefully into the plot line). The unique styling of certain scenes gave the plot more depth and character as it shifted the attention of the audience. This short film is definitely one for the books and one worth recommending! It's a must watch!
