This film represents the very best in Twin Cities' independent filmmaking. I attended the premiere of Miles Between Us at the Twin Cities Film Festival with my 12-year-old son. We both loved this film. The writing and acting are so beautiful. Typically, movies that focus on divorce lean on a crutch of clichés and, inevitably, a vast over-simplification of the emotional fallout that exists for both parents and children. Not this film. Scott Peterson's screenplay offers a touching but unflinching portrait of divorce and its aftermath, displaying a sensitivity and emotional nuance that has escaped so many lesser films.

This is fundamentally a redemption story, a story that is alternately spiritual and hilarious, and a story that treats its subject matter and its characters with the respect and the rich complexity they deserve. The film is wonderfully acted, with Dariush Moslemi and Anna Stranz in the lead roles, hitting all the right notes and doing justice to this screenplay.

This is a wonderful, touching film that represents the very best of independent filmmaking.

I agree with other reviewer's criticisms of this movie's contents. Beware pied-pipers who tickle the ears, say what some people want to hear, rather than saying what they truly need to hear most above all else in this universe, and thus, this movie leads people towards their own & others' eternal damnation. The movie's positive aspects are like sugar coating on spiritually toxic pills.

When I chose this movie to watch, little did I know how much I would resonate with the story line. It is refreshing to see a good movie, done so well that reflects how God works in our lives

The title and description do NOTHING for this movie! I passed it by so many times! The acting is superb, the characters are realistic, and the plot is excellent. The story did not sugar coat the pain of divorce but showed the true Grace of God in how a relationship can be restored. A beautiful, Godly story. Not preachy but a solid Christian world view. Nothing inappropriate or suggestive, no cussing, just a wonderful story that will keep your interest in a steady, not slow story line that uplifts. A great movie! Better than anything Hollywood is producing. A great movie for Dads who want to do better!
