I'm really enjoying this series. The topic is interesting, but the mostly balanced tone they strike is refreshing, not opting for 'hacker fanboy' or 'hackers are evil bad' as a default position. Politics is mostly kept on a non partisan course which is a rarity at the moment, leaving the viewer to decide based on the presented facts. The topics feel current and edgy and slightly dangerous too, which makes for some very interesting and informative viewing, really going in-depth on some stories we only got a sound bite look at in the mainstream media. I don't know how they managed to get some of these interviews but it's great to have a show like this giving us real insight into a mostly hidden from view topic. The presenter comes across as calm and even minded, and well informed with plenty of back knowledge on the topics he discusses. Good on Canada vice for making this top notch program with high production standards and a well written and easy to understand approach to some complex topics.
I watched this today and laughed at a few parts at the beginning as it was ludicrous, outdated, fake and lies.
I checked online to see what year(s) it was produced and it made me laugh even harder. The blurb from US authorities about cyber tech and using it in conflicts and using it legally and justifiably was hilarious.
The theatre of war has so many 'bad actors' that one of them is the same as the next. The 'autonomous machines' they refer to are more human than the bad actors that like to portray themselves as the force behind them.
The actors are the problem in this case and not the bots.
Having said all that even though it's hilariously outdated and politically motivated it's good fun.

Season 1 was pretty good. Season 2 would have been better if it hadn't been turned into a far left media outlet to promote opinions & lies. They present opinion as truth and fact, when no facts are presented at all. They refer to other opinions as fact, where there is no facts supporting their claims. It's good if you remove the BS politics out of it. Unfortunately, it's being used like several shows to inject fear into people. This is now another show I will not watch anymore, just like Saturday Night Live.
No real "facts" presented here that a first year law student couldn't blow apart on cross-examination. I did not see any interviews with anyone which were not mere opinions. Where are the credentials and authorities. Cite your authorities!
Absolutely amazing and thrilling season. This season is what this show was meant to be. It got me excited about ethical hacking and helping everyone around me.
Season 2 felt like a left propaganda, season 2 felt very politically motivated. Technical quality was still amazing.
