The Whisperer

'The Whisperer (2016)' is a decent short horror film. Though it is a little slow (the first shot holds for way too long, for example) and its payoff is a little underwhelming, it's typically an atmospheric and effective experience. It has one really solid scare and just enough character development to make you care about its protagonist (and understand her typical response to her situation). If it was slightly tighter and had a better payoff, this would've been a really solid affair. Still, it's a decent effort despite its issues. It's enjoyable enough. 6/10.
