...watched 70% of it, just so slow and often lacked credibility I couldn't stick with it, and the CGI snow? No one looked a bit cold lol.

The cat thread went on and on, and Sofia was an incredibly irritating character, I could barely watch her.

Really only watched as much as I did as Jonas was well played and interesting. Fargo? Umm...no, i dont think so. The cops were just excruciating to watch, there was no wit nor appeal in any word either of them uttered.

I am a rabid consumer of Nordic TV, especially Swedish productions. I hadn't watched a Norwegian shows before this one, but I will definitely try more.

This show is beautifully shot, well acted, and has a great mix of menacing tension and comic relief. It looks like there won't be a Season2, and that's a damn shame.

Kielergata offers a unique mix of dark drama and strange, offbeat humour. The story moves at a slow pace, but that fits the show's odd style and gives time for the unusual characters and atmosphere to develop. What starts out like a typical Nordic crime show soon becomes something much more original and interesting.

At the centre of the story are two young female police officers and a mayor who isn't much older than them. Their interactions, along with a group of townspeople who all have their own secrets and flaws, create a sense of tension and unpredictability. The show deals with serious issues like murder, addiction, and hidden truths, but also includes strange, funny moments that surprisingly don't take away from the suspense.

The actors give strong performances, fully bringing their complicated characters to life. Visually, the show looks great, with the clean, cold style you often see in Scandinavian crime stories. The small-town setting feels real, and Norwegian viewers will likely notice the local details and cultural touches.

However, the show isn't perfect. The constant swearing can feel overdone and sometimes takes away from the emotional impact of key scenes. Also, some parts of the story are left open, possibly hinting at a second season that never happened.

Even so, Kielergata is a creative and unusual crime series. If you're a fan of darker shows with a twist of weirdness, this is a hidden gem that's definitely worth watching.

I read with surprise that someone compares this mess with the best series of the last 10 years of the Chinese detective genre Bron Broen and I do not get out of my stupor. This series is slow, with a badly basted script and a protagonist who does not get to the release of the shoes of the protagonist of Bron Broen. Pretty bad performances with a cast of actors who seem fans that make the series have little interest

I really enjoyed this show. Relatively slow pace but it fits the odd vibe of the entire show. I really enjoy the way they have mixed depressing and dark themes with straight up ridiculous and hilarious moments. The more I think about it the more I like this show. As a big fan of crime shows myself this was a really unique and refreshing point of view. Definitely recommend!
