Buddy vs. Duff

Buddy is my favorite I dont like Duff and his staff With Duff it real art.

With Buddy is baking.. Is this an art competition Or baking competition.

I am disapointed in Buddy. I have been a big fan of Cake Boss and this show is really showing Buddys arrogant side. He is acting like a spoiled rotten child who doesnt think he should lose. I have never really watched Ace Of Cakes and dont know Duff well. But I think this competition will be turning a new leaf for me. I love Duffs heart and passion for his art. I can respect that. Buddy is just self absorbed. Im a cake artist too and I like to be modest about my work. If it sucks, I own up to it. I do like Ralph though!!! Keep up your good work Ralph! :)

Winners never let their ego get in the way of their success. They know what's more important. And don't keep a short term mentality. While they are modest on the inside they know their worth and are confident in their abilities.

I know its a competition but ... Buddy -> you need a character check. Your EGO makes you a BIG looser in the eyes of many.

Duffy - Humility makes you a winner; good character always WINS.

Used to love Buddy and watch nearly every episode. Since his climb to fame he lost his humbleness and respect for his work and fellow bakers. When someone doesn't agree with him he throws a fit and has shown to be very unprofessional. The judging is a joke as each is only 1 point shy/higher than the other in every battle. Also, after Buddy's display of being a sore loser, it seems unfair (even though we as viewers cannot physically taste the food). Through watching, I have gained more respect for Duff and his skill and his eye to detail. He has also shown great sportsmanship and professionalism. Bigger is not always better.

This was obviously a totally scripted/staged series. I even think that Buddy's & Duff's reactions were scripted to cause drama. I enjoyed seeing the works of Buddy & Duff, but felt that the judges always leaned towards Duff, even when they picked Buddy's (scores were always done to keep them close). Duff's "cakes" hardly had any actual cake in them. Both are clearly talented, but felt this was a big set-up for Duff's new show. And no one ever tasted the cakes!! Would've been better if the judges were impartial, no scripting & these 2 guys allowed to really compete.
