Despite the UK version of this film being cut to pieces by the BBFC, there is still a bit of fun and sex to be gleaned from this spoof of the famous fairy tale. The costumes lend some period authenticity to the production but that is about it. The dialogue is rooted firmly in 20th century USA. Even the motor vehicle seen moving along the road in the background is left in: maybe they thought no-one will notice. Tom Byron as the court jester tries his hand at rap.
The film follows the original story quite closely. Princess Amber (Hyapatia Lee) and the rest of the royal court fall into a deep sleep for one hundred years until she is awakened by a kiss (and a lot more besides) from a passing prince (Robert Bullock). There is more action with Tom Byron and Ona Zee's Queen Imelda; and Randy West and Tori Welles. The humour is a bit corny but enough for a few smiles. Films like this are not meant to be taken seriously so just watch and enjoy.
