Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and that best describes the effect of URGES IN YOUNG GIRLS, a ripoff of Shaun Costello's excellent porno chic classic PANDORA'S MIRROR. It lacks the acting ability of greats like Veronica Hart, but delivers the XXX goods.
Sharon Kane stars as proprietress of a NYC lingerie store which has a magic mirror (natch -so we Alzheimer's suffering adult film historians can immediately recall the Costello movie). Minus any special effects (just jump cuts are used) anyone gazing at the mirror is stimulated into imagining a sexual fantasy.
That's basically the video in a nutshell. Seven sex vignettes include a couple allowing Kane to have sex with the hubby while his wife plays masturbating voyeur; wife later appearing in Dave Ruby's office where he gets to hump her; Renee Summers & a tall gal pal whisked away from the boutique to Eric Edwards' pad for a threesome with his unconvincing "rock star" character; Kane masturbating before the mirror; Joey Silvera getting "treatment" from a nurse; a lesbian clinch at the gym for Kane, and finally Tish Ambrose enjoying a fantasy d.p.
Direction by John Christopher and his mysterious amanuensis Janus Rainer (latter more familiar as a b&d specialist) is sloppy, merely making the earlier film seem more impressive.
