Sex Files: Creating the Perfect Man

Although the idea is a good one, this film is a poor example of the genre (soft core sci fi). Casting Duggan Hayes as the professor and his clone was not a good choice, in my opinion. Would these three young things believably see him as a "perfect man?" As the professor he is passable, but as the clone he's just not very good. The script is weak and the acting in general is mediocre even by soft core standards.

Regina Russell, as usual, does a good job considering the limitations above. She strikes me an an attractive intelligent woman and not just another piece of eye candy. She has a great bust line (apparently enhanced though) which shows off well in tight tops.

This soft-core porn features a trio of pneumatic students who all attend a genetics class held by Professor Michels (Duggan Hayes) and accidentally produce a sexually insatiable clone of him when tinkering with the cloning program on the prof's computer one night. Directed by a woman (Ellen Evans) this is soft focus stuff that makes weak attempts at comedy while ensuring the display of naked female flesh is never more than sixty seconds away. Any professor would count himself lucky to have just one of the sexy lead trio in his class, let alone three, and to have them all in a genetics class must be a double bonus – especially as none of them exactly impress as being particularly intelligent. These, of course, are the type of students who, in between repeatedly drifting off into tame sexual fantasies, sit around the dining table doing their homework in sexy lingerie. They're all lookers, but the dark-haired girl's breasts are obviously – and off-puttingly – fake. In fact Hayes handles them so tentatively you get the impression he's afraid they're going to pop if he squeezes them too hard. British blonde Zoe Paul is a real cutie though (natural, too), and comes across as quite likable.

Despite all the flesh on show, it's pretty dull stuff after the first ten minutes, and Duggan Hayes is about ten years too old for his part. No way in the world would three hot chicks be lusting over a middle-aged professor with bags under his eyes and little hair on top. If you're looking for a bit of hot and lusty fireworks give this one a miss.

This low-budget sexploitation sci-fi amuses and titillates...though don't expect great acting, dialogue or special effects. Duggan Hays (Daniel Anderson) in a dual role as both the shy, bumbling middle-aged professor and the studly sex-machine clone really "stands out." Although this is soft-core I thought it was far more amusing than "The 40-yr Old Virgin" which was much nastier in spirit and language despite the wonderful Steve Carrel. Hays/Anderson can actually act, and being a former physical trainer has a body that just won't quit. It's not surprising that all the nubile young sluts in the film think he's "cute." The scene where his clone is dragged off to a stag party while still wearing an apron after preparing the girls' breakfast is hilarious when he puts all the younger guys to shame!

What started as a simple assignment turns into a lust-filled orgy, in "The Perfect Man." You'll probably find it on Cinemax under the title "Creating the Perfect Man."

An ordinary college professor assigns his class a simple task--decide on what qualities he or she wants in a perfect mate, and enter it into his computer. You see, he's *THIS* close from cracking the code to creating human clones, and he's got three absolutely gorgeous babes in his class that can't wait to, in their own words, "ride him like a pony."

These three women accidentally enter their data in the prof's master file, along with all of their wildest fantasies. Soon after they leave, a carbon copy of the professor pops out and the fun begins. Soon, they all want their *own* professor when they start to wear the clone out. It's fun to watch, and even more fun with friends! Shauna O'Brien (complete with brand new implants), Amber Newman, among others you've probably seen before, round out the cast.

It's worth a look, but don't watch the parts where the actors actually have to "act". This flick isn't about acting, folks.
