Its Rajini's show all the way . He is a rich Coimbatore based womanising business man . His haggard but faithful wife Lakshmi never leaves his side despite knowing all about him . His daughter Vijayashanti and son (Rajini again ) complete the family. The son finds out about the father and tries to mend him . Sarita comes to his office for the post of the manager . Impressed by her , he sends her to hong kong for training . later , unable to bear the son's nagging he too leaves for Hong kong . He meets Sarita and rapes her in a fit of frenzy and laughs it off as he has always done casually due to arrogance . When he returns back home , he sees a lot of changes . to his shock , he realises that his son has married Sarita . His daughter viayshanti is getting engaged to Sarat babu who he has earlier met as an honest officer . He tries to change all this but realises his family has ganged up against him . He slowly comes to know that the son is not married to Sarita and its all a drama to redeem him . Unfortunately , finally he dies in an accident on the way to Ooty in a high frenzied car chase . Meena Suresh has a small role as the son's girl friend. she has to look pretty and sad and sing some duets which she does well. Actress Lakshmi wears nice silks and diamond jewellery to show off her rich status . She is the typical ideal wife always supportive of her husband and hides his many flaws despite knowing its wrong . Vijayshanti is cute and wear skirts and frocks and hardly has any dialogues . Goundarmani comes as Rajini's driver first and then as the father of Sarat babu . The house is a huge setting with bright colours and with many phones in many places probably to show off Rajini's busy life . Sarita does full justice to her strong role . first as wronged girl and then as an assured woman swearing vengeance .
