Mr. Bell

As i said before there in the plot , This is 1947 biography movie which happens after telegraph was invented where Alexander Graham Bell and his partner Thomas Augustus Watson invented the first discernible speech, transmitted over a telephone.

For the 100th anniversary of Alexander Graham Bell's birth, AT&T, the successor corporation to his earl experiments in telephony commissioned this half-hour film from Radio-Keith-Orpheum.

It's divided into three parts. In the first, we are introduced to Raymond Edward Johnson as Mr. Bell in his days when he was an instructor to the deaf, putting a contemptuous Jed Prouty in his place. In the second, he's dealing with the development of the telephone, with the assistance of Mason Adams (in his screen debut) as Thomas Watson. Finally, he is an old man in 1918, lecturing a young audience on advancements that he has hoped to make, but has failed. These include talking pictures and sonar.

Richard Fleischer directs this one very well, with the pacing of his performers having an old-timey ring to them.
