    Very cool movie!

Yu-Gi-Oh! The movie was very cool and fun to watch. It was animated Japan and had the animations of the anime and character designs but the story is American and doesn't follow the Japanese version with that is OK. The voice acting is really good and I enjoyed the story of it did really good as Yami Yugi as all the other actors, the version is cropped from widescreen you can get the UK DVD and it would be in widescreen. If you are a Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan get this movie because it's really good. I really enjoyed it a lot and I think you would too. Also, the trading cards in the movie were allowed to be used in this film so they represent the US cards which was neat.

If you like Yu-Gi-Oh, you will enjoy this movie. I give Yu-Gi-Oh! The movie 8/10.

    It's OK

I remember seeing this for my friend's 13th birthday party. We were all huge yigioh fans and seeing yugioh on the silver screen was a dream come true, until we actually watched it. We went in the movie theater and we each got special yugioh cards. my friends got cool monster cards like blue eyes shining dragon or dark sorcerer. I got a pathetic trap card that I would never use. The movie didn't even start, and I was disappointed. For the movie, it was average. Some good parts, some bad parts and a lot of cheesy one liners. It's not bad as the people that give it a 1 say. Trust me, his is not a 1 star movie. Baby Geniuses was a 1 star movie. However the people that give this a 7 or 8 are also wrong. It assent as well written as the show and they did it include fan favorites like bandit keith or Mai valentine. Overall, it isn't bad, but it is not great.

Remember who this is made for!

This is a movie for KIDS. Adults aren't supposed to be mesmerized by a spectacular plot and stirring dialogue. It is an hour and a half of excrutiating hell for parents and absolute nirvana for kids who love the card game and the TV show. It is a way to get more kids into the card game and, thus, make more money.

Just remember, adults bring a pillow for a much needed nap (or at least a cell phone with games on it!) and don't buy the kids popcorn and drinks. Mine was too fascinated by the movie to remember to eat the candy (which went straight to my butt) or drink the lemonade (which was thrown out).

    Depends on what you want

Objectively it's a bad movie, but it has so much charm. Also it has so funny moments and a really good sound track. So if you look at it critically it's garbage, however if you're looking for a fun movie this is the one. It felt like it had so much soul and so much love put into it.

Yu-Gi-Oh my god this movie was awful

I semi-willingly took my 7 year old to this movie as he loves the cards and watches the cartoons on TV. While he was staring and the screen in a comatose stupor - I thought....Why wasn't this stuff on TV when I was a kid.

Then I realized, "oh yeah...We didn't make this level of CRAP back then!" This movie is so boring, unimaginative, contrived, and cumbersome! I know that it is quite popular and undoubtedly will result in $$$$ from parents like me who want to take their kid to a movie they want to see...but HOLY COW!!! This movie has no redeeming qualities. It, albeit unintentionally, condones violence, and is supposed to have some kind of moral message about loyalty and perseverance...an average 7 year old will "get" the overly subtle (or weak) connections. Go rent Fantasia instead.

    • Curiosidades
Though elements of the Dawn of the Duel story arc from season 5 of the show are used, the plot of this film greatly mirrors that of season 4. An ancient enemy arises and uses the Pharaoh's power against him in some way, they wear powerful stone and use its card counterpart to surround the field and prevent any interference, Yugi is prevented from using the God Cards until the end, after the enemy loses the final duel from a combined attack of 3 Legendary Monsters they take the form of or combine with a great beast to attack Yugi and his friends (Joey even uses some of the same monsters to fight both), the enemy uses Pegasus to manipulate Kaiba when he seeks him out for answers, Pegasus later shows up to provide background information and other answers for Yugi and/or his friends, and Yugi and the Pharaoh are separated for a sizable portion of the story and are only reunited once the enemy suffers some form of defeat and loses what was originally going to be the source of power for their attack on the world.
    • Erros de gravação
When Yugi uses Kaiba's "Return from the Different Dimension", he mentions how Kaiba wanted 'a perfect victory', but Kaiba never said that - he only thought it.
    • Citações

Joey Wheeler: [after being the mob kid in a match] Maybe now you'll have the proper respect for Joey, the Godfather of Games!

Yugi Moto: [comes out from hiding] Is the coast clear yet, Joey?

Skinny Mob Guy: Hey, it's Yugi! He's back!

[leads the mob to chase after Yugi, runs over Joey and Tristan in the process]

Tristan Taylor: [dazed] Yeah, they respect ya.

Joey Wheeler: [also dazed] I coulda been a contender.
