Frank Daniels' wife shows up, with doctor's order to take their infant to the country. Daniels is agreeable, but first there must be a story. Daniels is the manservant to Frank Kingsley, who is about to get married. But when his fiancee and her mother come to call, they decide the baby is Kingsley, and the mistake continues to fill out a reel.
Why is Daniels' character called "Captain Jinks'? What connection does he have to 1901's stage show CAPTAIN JINKS OF THE HORSE MARINES? It's a mystery to me. What's clear is that under the direction of Van Dyke Brooke, Daniels is a better movie actor than in other movies I have seen him in.
