Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Childish as it is, my favorite part has to be the very ominous BANG BANG noise. x3 On a more mature note, there is just one thing to be said about this series- wow.

I have not been following Law & Order; Criminal Intent from the start, as some have, but I was addicted on my first episode. D'Onofrio's acting and behaviour is extremely entertaining, he just seems very THERE.

As well, I find the attempt to understand "why" more interesting then, say, CSI, where the majority of the time is spent trying to figure out who committed some gruesome murder. This series attempts to give a twist at the end of the episode. However, it often ends with lines or a scene that make you feel that the episode is unfinished.

This was a very interesting episode. As always Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathleen Erbe were amazing, and funny.There was an actor in the episode named Michael J.X. Gladis that I liked very much. He had a smooth easy flow to his character. I also thought it was remarkable that he looked like he could be D'Onofrios little brother! I read somewhere that Vincent D'Onofrio gave up a part in the Sopranos to be on the Law and Order series. I would have loved to see what he would have done on the Sopranos, but I'm now glad to get to see his acting everyday. LOCI is in repeats in my area and I have had a chance to catch up. Watching the play between D'Onofrio and Erbe evolve over the seasons has been really interesting to watch as well!

Its all about D'Onofrio. He is so freaking great in this series. Just perfect casting. Was always a fan of him but now I go out of the way to catch this series. He's got to be ad-libbing a lot of this and must have a very patient Director. HBO needs to do something with this guy! Be sure to see Salton Sea and Men In Black (Hilarious). I was actually surprised to see him on a basic cable TV series. However after seeing the other Criminal Intent shows, my confidence in non-HBO programming increased. D'Onofrio is just an incredible actor, even if the script is hokey (Claire Bloom episode). Also, he may not be a pretty boy, like Chris Noth, but there is something attractive about him.

This is a review of the actual game and not the show itself. How did people miss that? It does clearly say "VG". The game does feel like a true episode of the show. It contains the same music and even some voices from the cast. Hearing Vincent D'Onofrio's voice and portraying Det. Goren at first is really satisfying. Soon however you will realize that the game character Goren is not the same as the brilliant detective in the show. When you interview people you have the option to ask questions in different ways. You can question in a straightforward manner or in a empathic way resulting in different answers. A dialog like this would seem realistic and natural and would be great if it really worked. It would give you some freedom that many other adventure games don't have. Sadly I have to report that there is no freedom in asking the questions. You have to ask the questions in a certain order to get a positive result. Being "empathic" to game character Goren must mean something else since most of the time he says things that are quite the opposite. This is a flaw that could have been overlooked if the game mechanics were any better. The game is full of glitches and crashes (Even on high end machines). This is why you have to save often,otherwise you will get stuck. The visuals are OK,although the animation could have been better (Goren is walking like a duck). The game excels in the story department. Interesting cases with even twists and surprises you normally would get to see in the show. If you can overlook the major flaws of the game than you will have an enjoyable experience. Personally I could not finish the game since the flaws were getting on my nerves (You've got to have patience)!

I am so tired of you all replacing my Goren with Logan. Just because there is no more sex and the city and Chris Noth needs a job does not mean I want to see him replace my Boy Vincent. What is up with this? Does anyone out there feel me? I am a loyal fan of the show and I watch as many reruns as I can. This however will not continue to be the case if Logan is going to be replacing Goren on a regular bases. I have grown to love the characters very much and for you to be playing musical chairs with them is not fair to loyal viewers like myself. So if Logan wants to be part of the ensemble cast I can live with that but to completely replace the main characters on a show and expect fans like myself to keep watching, you will be sadly mistaken because I will not. So please do what you can to remedy this situation because I would love to continue to support the show.
