Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

This really is a fantastic game. The sheer variety of gameplay that is gradually revealed throughout the game keeps the player's interest from beginning to end, never getting boring. The characters are all very well developed and the voice acting is top-notch, adding to the depth of the characters - watch out for Dimitri, he's my favourite character with all his jive talk! You picking up on what I'm throwing down??

Responsive controls, intuitive control system, great music (that sometimes picks up on themes from Sly 2), smooth graphics and some really funny dialogue make this game hard to fault. You don't necessarily have to play the previous instalments in this series to enjoy this game, although there are a few little references that veterans would appreciate. The whole 3D glasses gimmick doesn't work very well, although thankfully you have the option of playing those scenes in normal view.

I can thoroughly recommend this game to those who liked: Ratchet & Clank, Splinter Cell/Metal Gear Solid (the stealth element) and Jak and Daxter to some degree.

Contrary to what one reviewer stated, this isn't necessarily the last in the Sly Cooper franchise - it could be the end, but it is left in such a way that a sequel is most definitely possible.

It was to be expected that this game would do well... I had no idea how well until I picked it up and played it myself.

The storyline worked, and it was great seeing new playable characters, and bringing back other characters from previous games.

The boss battles were challenging enough to be enjoyable without them being frustrating, and the cut scenes were very funny.

It also had 3D scenes, which it could've done well without and was the game's only low point.

Unfortunately, this is the final installment in the Sly Cooper franchise; so to all the other fans out there, all you can do is pray that it goes into a TV series.

I recommend this game to all who enjoy the Sly series.

While Thieves In Time came out eight years after this, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves has made an awesome conclusion to the classic PS2 trilogy. Maybe the last time had a perfect followup to the first, but this has given more to tell after Band of Thieves. Mainly with how the story has given some great changes to add more members to the Cooper team, even with some of the boss characters from the previous two, which structures well to the main story from the prologue. Just like the other games, the graphics really hold up even by today. And the gameplay here is something I really need to talk about. For each Sly Cooper game, the gameplays get progressively better. Not only is it like last time where the game would structure into a heist in each episode and you get to unlock gadgets, you also get to play as characters other than just Sly, Bentley and Murray. Whether if it's Carmelita to stop a crime, Guru to possess an enemy, Penelope for the RC, Panda King for the fireworks, and Dimitri for diving. That and instead of exploring the island in the climax episode, it would just make it seem exciting for how the game ends. All the gameplay in the game and connect them into an epic finale. For Sly Cooper fans and those that like playing PS2, I really think you're going to enjoy this one since it shows there is more to tell after Band of Thieves. Looking back what I said from the first game, the franchise has not been much relative after Thieves In Time. I know this has been popular during early 3D gaming in the 2000s where they're more experimental, but this gaming style has inspired many games to have the same type of gameplay. And looking in the third installment, it has given a grand conclusion to the trilogy. Again, until eight years later.

Funny, witty, hilarious cartoon characters (old and new), wicked cut-scenes, fantastic missions...and of course, a ton of treasure to steal! What more could you ask for in a game? Sly hits the charts for the third (and possibly last) time. The game keeps getting better with new mini-games and new two player mode. More characters are added this time so you get more choice to beat up guards! In fact, the only disadvantage to playing Sly 3:Honer Among Thieves is the (also new) 3-D. It isn't really that great and you only get one pair of 3-D glasses which is crap if you are playing a two player game.

Apart from that minor drawback, there is no reason you should go and get this game quick before someone else does!
