Excellent Movie. Everybody acted very well in the movie. Songs and BGM in the movie were so good. This movie is one of the Best Tamil Thriller Movie. The movie was so interesting and thrilling. Excellent Movie.

Excellent acting,story and songs. One of the best stylish movie and stylish acting from Tamil.

Even though the underlying story line was inspired from Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca(1940), the presentation of this movie was simply super standard. The way the characters were portrayed and the acting by both Mr. Shivaji Ganesan and Saroja Devi were really incomparable. The music composition was also extra ordinary that every song will reveal mood behind it. I liked the East man color in this movie as it was one of the initial movies with East man color. Nagesh's comedy did its trick as it will always do. Saukar Janaki did a guest appearance but the song in which she appear is an excellent melody. Apart from these actors, there were M.R.Radha as the blackmailer and Ashokan as Soukar Janaki's cousin also was there, who did their job perfectly.

A pure classical masterpiece. Extraordinary movie with top notch stars showcasing their top notch performances. Direction, cinematography and music at extreme. The screenplay of the movie is a special mention because it has a genre twist, A romantic/melodrama movie tones up into a mystery thriller film at the second half. Not only that, the twist in the film(must be noted) is unpredictable even during this period. Shivaji sir once again proves himself as a legend. The film's original rating according to me is 9.5/10. That 0.5 mark is deducted because of the music. The music is good, but the music's are repeated and hence, more than half of the film is covered with songs and this reduces the intensity of the film. Apart from that there are no negatives in this film it's a must watch.

This movie was released in 1964.Even after 43 years,if one were to view this movie now, he or she will wonder how such a classic thriller was made at that time when technical advancement in Tamil movie was rare. One can also wonder whether anyone could produce such movies now. Sivaji's fine acting,Viswanathan Ramamoorthy's music and KS Prasad's photography were the anchor points in this movie.The climax was super especially when Sivaji's so called dead wife (Sowkar Janaki) comes back alive. When Sivaji's attempt to prove everyone that it is impossible for his dead wife to be alive,just look at Sivaji's acting. His emotions and expressions are superb. On the whole it was a high class entertainment.
