More than a horror, it is a realistic portrait about Peter Pan syndrome, about only son, reminding the paintings of art naive. And, sure, the drop of Gothic works in reasonable manner, the grotesque becoming not bad source of darkhumor.

Verdict

The plot on IMDB doesn't really give much away so please allow me to expand. The film is about a 30 something guy who still lives with his mum, a deeply unhealthy looking guy who wears nothing but his badly stained pyjamas while the mother is an over the top infantile and reeks of potential incest. The man-child has a serious "Self-help" problem but stores his "Results" in bottles and crockery around his room. Somehow this causes a miniature mutant version of himself to be born which he keeps secret.

Now if this sounds like gross and very uncomfortable viewing it's because it's gross and very uncomfortable viewing. I winced throughout, begging myself to turn it off and not even finding a novelty value in what I was watching it was just unpleasant.

This is one of those films where everyone involved should be embarrassed and the writer should have his internet history searched thoroughly.

Weird, perverse, horrible uncomfortable viewing that should be used as a method of torture for criminals.

Analogies may well be rife in this wonderful short, but I haven't taken the time to figure out what they are. This is unique, weird, unsettling, and most importantly - entertaining. But I couldn't quite figure out what it was saying. A delight anyways
