This was a winner for me! First off, the plot summary makes this show sound corny and boring, and that couldn't be further from how this show ended up being. The use of face-blindness was a very interesting and different twist to the pretty common office-romance type of show. The story was interesting and cute and the episodes were timed very well so there were no slow/boring episodes. The comedy was fantastic as well, with some truly funny moments that made me laugh out loud. The soundtrack was fitting but definitely did not stand out. The acting was fantastic, especially from our main couple. Veronica Park was an obnoxious/annoying character that eventually grew on me though, and the sub-plot with Dae-Joo definitely kept me guessing until the very end. Did I mention the leads had some amazing chemistry??
I did feel like Min Ik's backstory wasn't fully explained, but it didn't detract too much from my enjoyment. Overall this was a wonderful rom-com that I found incredibly enjoyable.
The secret life of my secretary was out about the same time as when her private life had finished.
The drama had an odd start and an even wierder plot description. And it almost looked like they couldn't pull it off, but they did. The whole drama, after episodes one and two at least, was really cute. The office drama was interesting, although towards the ending, it was boring. The couple, however, was cute. And the chemistry of the two leads was incredible and it helped the drama a lot. They had many cute moments and the love story was really good and intence.
Finally, the performances were good by everyone in the cast. But, the drama didn't have anything special to offer other than the love story. So, seven out of ten.

What an original and cleverly written romance story. The topic of face blindness is cleverly woven into a romance between a secretary and her boss.
The cast is well chosen and attractive. Jin Ki Joo does a great job and looks quite different when dressed up nicely. Kim Young Kwang looks the part and has a goofy charm which suits the character of the boss with face blindness. The supporting characters are likeable for a change especially the awesome Veronica Park played by Kim Jae Kyung.
One of the best points is there isn't a love triangle here except with herself as the third party. There aren't frustrating parts or dull repetitive moments.
Liked this story more than Secretary Kim.

"I want to protect him.
If I can't do that as his woman, I want to do it as his secretary."
This series impresses with quite a heartfelt plot where two couples form despite an abundance of differences and misunderstandings.
There is drama concerning the CEO position since the first episode where the main character is almost killed.
The intrigues keep you busy guessing until the very last moment as all the secrets are only completely revealed at the very end of the series.
The series, while maybe sounding quite dark, is truly quite cute, though: Our dear secretary is a really nice, enduring woman who falls in love with her boss while getting to know him better as she pretends to be someone else. It really adds a sometimes humorous, sometimes extremely sad atmosphere to the story.
The tense relationship between her boss and his mother is understandable concerning the explained details, yet really regrettable. Hence, it was all the more wonderful to witness that final scene of his mother finally acknowledging him.
My personal favorite, however, is the side-couple of Veronika Park and the main characters best-friend. Their characters start out as quite plain and stereotypical, yet gain a lot of depht going further.

This was so cute and funny but they messed up some of the storylines and some of the characters, but it was still cute, sweet, fluffy and all those good things rom-com. I hesitate to rate it this high, but truly it's rare that I like a K-drama couple this much and consistently so.
Where it's weak is in the actual plot. The whole mystery thriller part turns out to be something pretty tame and not really dangerous, so I kind of felt deflated by the revelation, which also comes quite late and then it becomes a big thing for a couple of episodes, but not really.
The Veronica impersonation storyline was made too dramatic and almost tragic and I didn't like that for the main conflict, because she was just trapped by the story and he became cruel for a couple of episodes. I mean the boy had trauma but... I preferred that to have remained the comic relief.
Then there are the moms, who are just plain weird and extra and why is Do Mi-nik so needy for attention and recognition when he's a grown man and should just grow out of it? Why is Veronica's mother so crazy and physical? It's for comedy, but it's too much. And why is she so afraid of her, when she's supposed to be this fearless boss lady? It's not really consistent. And then the moms just give up somehow on the whole idea of the match, but Do Mi-nik's mom has no idea he is dating his secretary, and he never seeks her approval, which she never would've given anyway, but he just ignores that fact when all he wanted till then was her approval? It's like the writers just chose the convenient route each time and didn't bother with logic.
Veronica Park was a little too much at times, he's clearly meant to provide comic relief and not much more.
But still, the chemistry is chemistrying and the whole thing is pretty enjoyable.
It's true that the drama has absolutely all the usual tropes for the characters and the story, but somehow it felt fresh, which is again very rare.
