Filthy Rich

I'm bored and I don't want to be. I was really looking forward to this show but it's cheesy and not in a good way. It seems like it plays around with being scandalous but it doesn't even come close. The characters are vanilla and the storyline is dull. For a good southern drama that packs on a punch I suggest watching "On Becoming a God in Central Florida".

It starts out very weak and boring but gets interesting by the start of act 2. Act 3 is where it starts to get pretty good so I look forward to seeing more. I hadn't seen the original New Zealand one but it's nice to put more live action shows to watch on my list. The Ginger character is already one I'm excited to see more of. I like how this show has an emphasis on female representation. Even as a male, we need more of that. I look forward to watching all 10 episodes.

Well it's nice to see the beautiful Kim Cattrall(remember her as Samantha and her sexy colored bra wearing days on "Sex and the City") back on TV again this time she's in the form of Margaret Monreaux a trophy socialite southern belle elegant wife of one Eugene(the still good Gerald McRaney). And that's when things get complex when Eugene is one longer around(supposedly) things are revealing as it appears as aside from her two grown children Eric and Rose that Margaret's nest now includes the grown children of Antonio(Ben Aguilar) and Jason(Mark Young) and the sassy Ginger(Melia Kreilling) all are complex by being a MMA fighter, a pot smoker, and sex internet worker respectively. That just adds to the scandal of the Monreaux empire as it's like the devil has cursed their mega dollar religious empire that includes a TV network. The series is well written and funny with one liners, plus it's sexy and full of weekly drama and twist as it seems ghosts of the past haunt many of the characters. I just like the way the series portrays life, people, as it reveals secrets while showing how all of it intersects with religion. Watch this fresh new series which shines along with Kim Cattrall.

First of all, I LOVE GINGER. I literally loved her character so much I kept watching the show just because of her. This show wasn't that bad, although it did have some stereotypical scenes against christians. And ngl there were some really cringe-worthy scenes and lines too but I guess that's the charm of this show.

This is not Masterpiece Theatre, it is cheap tawdry fun with great satire and a great cast, plenty eye candy and the writers have hit their groove.
