A solid crime/detective story. Decent acting and a well developed main storyline. There was a bit of a twist at the very end and some episodes had cinematic cliffhanger moments.
I think with a bit more refine this could have been up there in the genre. There's some decent acting and technical aspects-a mostly good script and plotting. It's certainly not a bad watch, overall. But I wouldn't recommend it to people wanting to get into the genre either.
As short as each episode is, it feels artificially long because they do bite sized reveals each episode, only some of which are substantive. The B plots are more well handled than the A plot, mostly because of some huge requirements for suspending disbelief surrounding the parents and the twin girls. Then the writing doesn't feel well handled later again because a guy shoots one person; two people die, but when conferring with his lawyer, it's stated he shot two people. One of whom was killed when he was not even present. A completely different person shot the other guy. How... did this get by the crew? Then the final reveal is fairly predictable, and maybe less interesting than other theories.
However, the character arc for both mains I thought was fantastic and really propelled the story when some hiccups happened. I really, really like the outcome for the local female brigadier. It looked like it was going to get tropey but it was actually excellent.
All in all, mixed bag. Probably worth watching just for the character arcs though, especially if there's to be a second season.

Enjoyable show so far, still in progress. Acting is very good overall: generally understated performances. Interesting to see a show from Luxembourg. Good use of comedic moments in early episodes, which add variety/interest.
Obviously, you have to ALWAYS watch a show or movie in its original language and turn on subtitles if you want to appreciate whatever it has to offer.
I imagine most of the people complaining about bad acting are watching a dubbed version. Either that, or the only kind of "good acting" they are aware of is typical, over-the-top American histrionics. If that's what you like, then why not stick to watching only American shows.
One unexpected bonus is that each episode is only a half-hour.
Just finished the series. Didn't understand the ending, but oh, well. Not the first time that has happened!

Great acting, tight editing, sharp dialogue and excellent use of locations make this 12 episode (less than half hour each) series a really engaging surprise even if the territory is not entirely original. Where a number of other French series exploring similar plots (missing girl/s in a remote village) seem to go immediately OTT on Gallic mysticism and generally grotesque village carry-on, the mood here is determinedly low-key and down-beat (similar to the excellent Belgian series The Break), making it one of the best and most credible cop/detective shows currently available on Netflix (in Ireland, at least). Well worth a look
Made a change from Nordic and French shows that we watch a lot of. Not quite up there with the very best, but good none the less. Decent story, acting and production.
