This was a great detective series! I must admit I figured out two mysteries on my own especially who was really behind it all. But it didn't take away from the suspense and my interest in each character. The lead detective was excellent as were all the other supporting characters. One character broke my heart and I'll say no more so I don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I sometimes fast forward when episodes drag on or get a bit boring, but I never did that with this series. Totally worth watching!
I just found this series on Netflix. I started watching it because I like the lead actor. But I am done with episode 3 and ready to quit it because, again, the female lead is so badly written. Why oh why, do K-dramas and K Rom -Coms always make the FL so dumb and clueless. Even if she is a veterinarian, business woman, college student, etc. It also seems like it is a rule that they cry hysterically non stop. I don't want them portrayed as fierce warrior princesses who so easily beat up or kill 200 pound men like Hollywood likes to portray female characters now. I just want them to have average intelligence or something interesting about them. Also, are Korean police really that incompetent? The female police officer and captain are
complete idiots. Is it worth my while to continue??
Modooui Geojitmal was a thrilling series from start to finish. The who-done-it mystery, ample red herrings, along with shocking evil actions, gave enough intrigue to keep you guessing and engaged to it. Lots of suspicious characters who continued to develop, continued to be people you liked and hated. Lee Min-Kim's role as brave and relentless Detective Jo Tae-sik was amazing, this was my favorite role of his so far. Yoo-Young Lee as Kim Soo-he followed a path most people who experienced horror after horror would take, making mistakes, unsure of who to trust, but fighting her fear to keep going to find the truth. The surrounding cast was terrific as well. Worthy of a watch. Can you guess Who-done-it and why?
Let's first address the elephant in the room, the acting and production. By no means was terrible, but by no means was perfect. Because the story was good (more detail in a while) that didn't bother me so much but we need to look at the whole picture. Two things stand out as bad:
-> The first is the production (more specifically the script supervisor) because you'll see that when the camera angle chances in some scenes, especially during the middle of the series, the placement of things and characters changes, almost like they were teleported. We also find some cases where the actors might be drinking and the camera angle chances and in that camera angle they are no longer drinking even though there was no jump in time which makes it really weird (although this is not a specific example because I don't remember specific instances, I just remember there were a few like this example, plus I don't want to give spoilers).
-> The second thing is the acting. Some characters are just a bit weird and overuse some of their acting peculiarities (like the cliché that is when the The Rock turns around and raises one of his eyebrows) and also in some scenes the acting is a bit unnatural, especially in high intensity scenes that involve crying.
In relation to the story I can't really complain, I'd give it probably a 9.5/10. I don't wanna spoil the series so I won't enter in detail but there's plenty of drama and action. The twists and turns are also oh so lovely.
Some might find it a bit slow during the middle but I totally recommend this series, just try to watch it for pleasure and don't be bothered by the production and acting mistakes.

Plenty of red herrings in this drama of murder and corruption in the conglomerate world. It is well acted with an intriguing story but to me the overall tempo is off. Probably should have reduced the episodes to tighten story and had a few less baddies.
