Clearly Cassie is flustered now and losing control, the drink,the sex, the clumsiness. All of this is impacting her ability to cope with her relationships and the mystery. Using the corpse as a confidant is not original, but it is effective in allowing the writers to sneak in plot that might otherwise be difficult. The humorous rabbit statue incident opens a chase metaphor that is amplified by the cut to Miranda (the ever wonderful Michelle Gomez) - a dark villainous fox.

Two negatives 1) The split-screen telephone calls are an irritating stylistic choice, though it is inconsistently applied - later we go to full-screen switching. Hopefully this will be the case going forward. 2) The extraneous whiny feminism from Kim (Merle Dandrige - fabulous in Greenleaf). She has thus far been portrayed as a strong, competent woman and this outburst is incongruous.

Some questions, who is Miranda (an ex?), what is Megan up to, can Ani be trusted?

I watched all those years of Big Bang Theory, thinking that all Kaley was good for was her looks, and wearing revealing clothes. I am on the second episode, and she has totally changed since then. She has depth, emotional range, focus, and is definitely redefining herself. I cannot wait until she does some more, better written roles.

The first episode grabs you. This one is building the series plot. Kaley is great. Looking forward to watching the next one.

You can tell this is a darkly comic murder mystery.

What else can explain Cassie not being arrested by the FBI after her performance when interrogated.

Cassie is shambolic and she has Annie her friend and lawyer with her.

In these early episodes, I presume Cassie is meant to be a liability. Either she clues up or someone else may have to do her a favour.

There are glimpses that something else is at play. Some evidence has vanished and there are tantalising glimpses of a woman called Miranda (Michelle Gomez).

She had met Alex the night he died.

The episode moves along nicely which is in the show's favour.

The Cuoco overreacting and overacting gets worse. Cassie would not be hired or retained in any job, certainly not this one. The coworkers should say I'm not covering for you anymore. Not interested in this person, at all.

Her amateur acting and terrible personality overtakes any plot line they are trying to develop. She apparently comes from the Kathy Sagan acting school. Plus the lectures about feminism, racism. Can't see this getting any better.
