I love hometown horror very much because it tells me rumors and stories of each event in the past...for example the Angola horror train wreck...the Angola horror train wreck was a terrible train accident and it happened on December 18th 1867 just after 3:00 pm...I would like to watch season 2 because I will LOVE SEASON 2 JUST HOW I LOVE SEASON 1...
The episodes in this series use real people with actors doing the reinactments. That's a nice change from most of these kinds of shows where actors play the real people and other actors play the actors.
We get actual people telling us about their experiences with their hometown's spooky tale.
The stories are interesting and intriguing. I hadn't heard of many of the places and their stories. The recreations are done pretty well.
It won't terrify you, but it is perfect for a late night watch with popcorn and someone to snuggle with.

A pseudo docu type format borrowing badly from others in the same ilk, this was done so badly it sent me to sleep quicker than a dose of benzodiazepine, they obviously did very little in the way of research, they just tossed around thoughts in an ad lib kind of way, whoever signed of on the cash to make this is probably going to be looking for a job soon, it was truly excruciating to watch.
If you are under 25 and immature you may find this exciting. This is a show that offers up no real facts just lots of rumors, hearsay and speculations!
One has to wonder why this show was even broadcast. It does not even qualify as very low budget Blair Witch type of show. It is insulting that is formatted like a documentary.
I've only seen one and a half episodes of this (the Perryville episode) but thought that it was a lot more credible than most of these ghost shows that have a team of investigators that go from site to site. The team members are usually so childish (seeing and hearing ghosts everywhere when it is just a squirrel in the attic or entities that are never actually caught on camera unless it is a bug or dust on a camera lens.) They plead with the "ghosts" to respond to their questions and taunts but when they think they hear something, they freak out. This episode just had what appeared to be real people just telling of their experiences over a re-enactment. The interviewees seem very authentic unlike the teams who are trying to earn a living by being famous and so will choose drama over truth. The re-enactment part is over-dramatized with jump scares but what do you expect? I will be watching more of these episodes. I liked the history and background as well.
