Garuda

Garuda (2022) is a Kannada-language action drama that blends patriotic fervor with emotional storytelling and mainstream commercial appeal. Set in Goa, the film follows Ram, a seemingly ordinary restaurant owner whose hidden identity as a naval commando comes to light during an anti-terror investigation. With themes of revenge, duty, and national security, the movie touches on current issues like terrorism and demonetization while delivering high-octane action sequences and emotional flashbacks. Srinagara Kitty stands out with a commanding performance as an ATS officer, while Siddharth Mahesh shows marked improvement in his dual role. Though the film suffers from uneven pacing and underutilized female characters, it succeeds in delivering a satisfying masala entertainer that resonates with fans of action-packed, emotionally charged cinema.

Minister R. V. Udayakumar eyeballing a lucrative land owned by Temple in a village, where Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan who are close friends since childhood are living, and Soori, a faithful servant to Unni Mukundan's family who is an orphan who rescued years ago, plays a significant role in both families, overseeing their matters assiduously.

As the Minister's henchman tempts Unni Mukundan with a deal to deceive Sasi Kumari and to surrender the temple documents for an abnormal monetary benefit, persuaded by his wife's desires, agrees, eliciting a heartbreaking chain of events. Unni manipulates Soori's loyalty, installing him as the new trustee to assist in the document theft. Sasi Kumar, unclear of Unni Mukundan's betrayal, meets a brutal end, witnessed by Soori, caught between allegiance to Unni and a sense of justice, Soori lands at a tough decision, leading to an intense showdown.

Getting to the plot, written by actor Siddharth Mahesh, the first half revolves around Ram (Siddharth Mahesh), who is running a restaurant in Goa along with Anu (Aindrita Ray) and Shankrana (Rangayana Raghu). He comes in contact with an undercover cop (Rajesh Nataranga), of the anti-terrorism squad, who along with his team is on the lookout for a criminal gang headed by Kalinga (Adi Lokesh). Through a flashback, we see how Ram pays a big price for his honesty, and then it follows the beat of a revenge drama with an explosive climax.

A movie with a good story and beautiful screenplay. Total family package. Music and background score is superb. Stunts, editing, VFX very nice. Super making. Director has a bright future. Lighting and Camera work very appealing. All the actors have done justice to their respective roles.
