Resumo
Reviewers say 'Severance' is acclaimed for its innovative premise, merging science fiction, drama, and suspense. It delves into identity, autonomy, and technology's impact on humanity. Adam Scott leads a strong ensemble cast. The show is lauded for its detailed world-building, intricate narrative, and profound themes. High production values, including cinematography and score, are celebrated. Yet, some find the pacing slow and the plot intricate, demanding patience. Its existential exploration and critique of modern capitalism are particularly noted.

I loved this Apple + series very much. First of all, the subject is very original and high quality. The acting is just perfect. The script is great, the music is great. The episodes progress slowly, but they are always exciting, and the season finale was simply great. I can't find anything else to say. I'm waiting the other seasons...
If you think about it in a deeper sense the Severance corporation is a metaphor of for how trapped workers are in their job, that's my theory. I love it all I'm surprised a few hated it something about waiting for something that's ridiculous or they know the nothing, seems to be a buildup and a lot to learn about the series regardless the show is magnificent! The thriller aspect is glorious and I'm a couple episodes in. When the show first released it had a 7.2 and jumped to 8.2 that's well deserved!
Not gonna lie, the first season was a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions. It moved at perfect speed, leaving me begging for more at the end of each episode. It is in my top 5 favorite tv shows based on season 1 alone.
Then, something happened. Season two came along and did an excellent job of story framing and gap filling in the first two episodes. After that, it feels like the last 8 episodes could have been condensed into 4 episodes. There was SO much filler and "artistic" shots that lasted far too long, in my opinion. One of the things I love about this show is that they don't hit it too on the nose with information and explanations. They use a ton of inferences and a "connect-the-dots" approach to help you gain an understanding of who we are, where we are, and why we are here in the story.
That said, a MASSIVE amount of information was either left untold, OR it went right over mine and my partner's heads. I know there are some theories online about what Cold Harbor really is and what it all means, but unless there's a season 3, we are extraordinarily disappointed in the season 2 finale. If this is the end of the series, what a colossal failure it was to end the show in the way that they did. I would have given a perfect 10 had they answered the BIGGEST detail I was dying to know. Maybe they get off on that...maybe it was intentional to play with my emotions and curiosity like that. If so, well played, BENNY STILLS!
Still, 8/10.

I expected a comedy because of who the lead is , the first minute in you can just feel this show has immense quality behind it there has to be a team that actually cares about what they put on the screen. The first 3-4 minutes gives you a scary idea of the world of the show and I loved it. The direction is simple but the tone , writing score and atmosphere is perfectly done .
"Severance" is one of the most disturbing shows that you'll ever see. The sad thing is that so many corporations do this sort of thing to people, turning them into mere cogs in the machine.
Definitely see it.
Definitely see it.
