Eat at Baratie!

Wow, I didn't expect the live action to exclude one of my favorite characters, Gin, and still make me love the episode. From beginning to end, it's perfection with very, very minor issues that don't affect the plot at all.

The dialogue was fluid and immersive, something that I felt the series lacked until now. The acting gains another level with the kitchen; I absolutely loved Patty, Sanji and Zeff. Mihawk might be the only one who acts too theatrically, but who cares? It's Mihawk, he's cool no matter what he does.

I see they tried to replicate the Zoro scene in the manga, with posture and all. It was emotive, but they should have aimed for a more natural approach to avoid making weird shots.

Spectacular non-canonical content. The conversation between Nami and Zoro was perfect; I can imagine it in the manga like it was there in the first place.

The first Garp scene didn't even bother me; we finally see some of Garp's real personality. Great stuff. My only complaint would be Garp's argument about the warlords. While half of it aligns with what the real character is, I don't think he would be collaborating with warlords that easily. It kind of contradicts his fierce speech back in episode 2. The scriptwriters tried to experiment, and while the content is good, they need to take care of the continuity so they don't contradict themselves.

That would be it, really. Top-notch episode that actually made me feel like I was seeing a top-tier series. It's amazing they could pull this off despite it being a live action. Of One Piece. Cheff kiss... now more than ever.

I'm enjoying the series and it's a very light hearted fun way to enjoy a series many people love but I'm super disappointed with this spoiler. I've watched 250 one piece episodes and was told there were no spoilers outside of the east blue arc. This is a really notable piece of info for seemingly no reason.

Other than that, mihawk looks and feels the part. The zoro moment was nice, I liked the setting and where we were building to. Sanji looked a bit too pretty boy but he felt the part very quickly and his kicks sold me immediately.

Completely understand them needing to change the story but I really hope they don't add kther spoilers later in.

Every episode ends with me applauding.. The narration method is so, so great.. The dialogues are unforgettable.. New characters appear and all of them are better than each other.. I loved Sanji very much.. Zev's character is very well-shaped.. Mihawk and the great fight at the end.. I loved how it went. The events are different from the anime, but it is still wonderful.. a wonderful episode.. full of events.. exciting.. The CGI in the series is the best. The design of the places and Sanji's restaurant was literally a visual delight. The best episode for me so far. My journey with the series is still not over and I am honestly enjoying it so far. Let's move on to the next episode.

Some people must be not fun at all in daily life.

Taking this series in the first degree must be the ultimate proof of utter stupidity.

It's caricature, fun, laughs.

I liked it and the characters. Fun and young people, a bit like GenZ. They're good and no griping can take that away from them.

Pirates must be the most exhausted theme in cinema. This was the most humourous I have seen since Orlando Bloom.

I guess you don't get Monty Python either, the flims or the original series.

I'm cmplaining about you here, but don't spit venom on talent you can't apparently understand.

Acting was particularly bad in this episode. And I know that characters are a bit of caricatures because it's hard to adapt media like manga/anime into a live action, but some of the acting is a bit too cartoonish which I dont mind in funny scenes and with characters like Luffy and Usopp, but it seems to me like the actor that is portraying Zoro is trying too hard and it rubs me the wrong way. The original Zoro gives off natural stoic vibes (idk maybe it's just me) and the way the actor is portraying him looks to me like Zoro is just trying to be cool but failing and in the process giving me THE ick. Anyways LOVED Sanjis introduction:)
