If you enjoy YAK, YAK, YAK, YAK, YAK, YAK, YAK... You'll love this show. And if you love this show, you must also enjoy watching the grass grow and manufactured Hallmark channel movies.
Come on, we all know that most of these shows are choreographed and scripted and the stars of the show have very little to do with what actually happens in the subject house. This show focuses so much on Nate and Jeremiah doing nothing but yaking away in their expensive digs that it's almost painful to watch. The homeowners are treated as afterthoughts and seem to be excluded from any involvement in the project; heaven forbid they might not like what the exalted design gods Nate and Jeremiah think is best.
The criticisms among these reviews are spot on, the thread being a narcissistic, navel-gazing, tone-deaf duo who impart almost no useful information.
And do we really need the crying a half dozen times a show?
People like Mike Holmes and all the guys on This Old House became stars because they're experts and they don't make themselves the most important part of the show. This pair is just a couple of rich guys who think they're important and think we care just how wonderful they and their family are. I couldn't care less.

So I've seen several shows already, and like any other home make over shows, it makes for good background tv. What annoys me is the bit narcissistic of the couple. They are being PAID by the homeowners for their service, but yet every show they do this surprise intro as if they are Jesus and Mary. And I just saw an episode last night when they are being paid to renovate a homeless shelter/covenant house. They drove up in their fancy Mercedes G class SUV with an MSRP of $130,000. I get it's their money but that a bit tone deaf.
Also, like other home shows, their always mistakes during the process. But unlike say, an unanticipated bad piping, their are more like wrong measurements. WTF!? And they get a show? They show a clip of them flipping a table with drawers pointing down, almost causing damages. Are they that amateur? And lastly, it always annoying when they are on camera doing work, Jeremiah is always dressed as if he on a fashion runway with a hat. At least chip and Joanna dressed as if they are actually working.
So 1 star for good background tv, and 4 stars because I wouldn't kick them out of bed.

Definitely all about Nate and Jeremiah. I was hoping to watch a show about the homeowners house being re-designed. The majority of the show is about Nate and Jeremiah's relationship. Lots of hugging calling each other babe. Oh right right we're supposed to decorate this person's house the one thing the homeowner told us what she likes dark floors. Oops the wrong color floors came in while we weren't around working on this house. They are light colored floors but it's what Nate Wood would choose for his house. Oh well too late to change it now we don't want to bust their budget. I don't think it was the homeowners fault that somebody wasn't on the job making sure the floor colors were correct. Oh well the homeowner won't find out until they watch the show and we will be long gone by then.
I love everything about this show - the fact that they're so attuned to the emotions of their clients, that they're willing to compromise if the situation isn't as expected, and of course the vibe and connection between the two. This seems like the least scripted of any designer show out there, and it's filled with some fairly raw emotion balanced with whimsy. I hope they plan on creating many dozens of episodes!
